Slow start to the 3rd period. Lot's of whistles but it's starting to heat up.
-
And all of their offensive defensemen have not showed up. Feds playing defense pretty much sums up that game.
-
I bet no one from Versus or CBC talks about how the Pens got away with a lot of penalties in the OT, especially the obvious interference penalty down in the Pens zone.
-
The refs let them play, unless it was possible to put the Pens on the PP.
-
Missed interference penalty down by the Penguins net. That goal should have never happened.
-
The Caps defense was terrible before that 3rd goal. Absolutely terrible.
-
He seems to let in at least one soft goal every game.
-
What did Don say about the game in general?
-
Still no word from Carlyle but I would be surprised not to see Hiller.
-
Getzlaf is tied for the lead in points with Crosby so let's give it to both of them. Let's not be a homer now and not give all the facts. Edit: Getzlaf is 19th in goals with 3 while Franzen is 4th with 6. Crosby has 9 goals, tied with Eric Staal.

I don't think the guy who wrote the article has been watching the playoffs. Luongo has been great for the Canucks and isn't in the top 10. Staal for the Hurricanes has been dominate and helped to eliminate the Devils, not on the list. Thomas has been solid for the Bruins until recently, not on the list. Franzen has been his usual amazing playoff self and is not on the list. There are so many great players that are missing from this list, but somehow the Ducks have 3? The article is a joke.

The key to beating Giguere is to get him moving side to side. He is a big body and moves slow. Doesn't matter who is in goal, the Wings are atill capable of winning.
-
Time to chase Hiller again. Let's Go Wings!
-
Still, even before Game #4 there was no trouble in Hockeytown. The Wings were only down 2-1 and almost forced OT in Game #3 where they could have won.
-
I'm feeling Caps and Canucks tonight.
-
The Top 3 favorites are from the Ducks? This is a joke and there is no trouble brewing in Hockeytown.

Update on Gonchar: Pittsburgh Penguins
-
Ovie didn't widen his stance. Take off your homer glasses and watch the video. Ovie didn't move once he decided to go for the hit. The only player who moved was Gonchar and that move resulted in the knee on knee contact. And yes, you are trolling.
-
Ovie did not do this on purpose. Ovie went to hit Gonchar with his shoulder but Gonchar moved to his left and that is how the knee on knee contact occurred. Watch the video closely. Ovie never moves his skates or his legs, he is on the same path from before the hit to after the hit. Also, Ovie is clearly leading with his shoulder trying to hit Gonchar with his shoulder, but Gonchar moves to his left at the last second. This does not excuse the fact that it was kneeing and should have been a 5 minute major, but it was not done with intent and was nothing but accidental.

I'm surprised that the Bruins lost but the Hurricanes are a good hockey team. The Hurricanes were the one team in the playoffs that everyone overlooked and wrote off. I would be surprised if the Hurricanes won Game #5 but I see them taking Game #6 and the series.

Never fight with a lead Kopecky.

Say good bye to Hiller's confidence.
