Winning a fight isn't the only aspect that gains a team momentum. Talbot showed his team that he is willing to sacrifice his body to mount any sort of comeback.

Because he is one of the most undisciplined players on the Flyers team and most likely to get into a fight in a non-fight situation.

Not even in retrospect. There is absolutely no reason to get into a fight when your team is up 3 goals. You're just falling into a suckers trap. In retrospect it turns out to be great for the Pens. The Pens capitalize on the stupidity of the Flyers, something they have been doing all series long.

The Flyers are very undisciplined. You don't get in a fight when you have a 3 goal lead and you don't take down a guy in front of the net after a goal. The Flyers gave away all their momentum and showed the Penguins that they got in their heads.
