I think this is one of the common lines of thought on playing the Ducks. I think the Wings can match the physical play, but the Ducks like to take cheap shots. Last thing the Wings need is a player going down because Pronger hacks the hell out of him with a cross-check.

Wow. That Hawk screeching sound after the goal is horrendous. It's a pretty awesome goal, but not the best ever.

Big words from a guy who covers a team that has done nothing but get bounced early in the playoffs. Nobody wants to play those 7-8 seeded teams because they are hot and dangerous. They bounce team, just ask the Red Wings.

Not only that, they have several players that are not afraid to cheap shot guys, cough Pronger cough.

I will be surprised if Lilja plays another game this season. I say rest him up for next season and let Ericsson stay up. No reason to push Lilja into coming back and risking anything.
