Better line combinations for this game. Hossa and Z do not play well together, as we have all seen, and Hossa needs to pick it up a bit before the playoffs, so being paired with Datsyuk should help with that. If the game is close, expect Lidstrom to log a lot of minutes since there are only 2 good D parings. Lebda-Chelios is a liability. Since being named the playoff starter, Ozzie needs to put it in gear and have a good game. No soft goals please. Challenge the skater, don't sit back in the crease, pads down on the ice and close up the gap between your pads and the post please. If the Wings can limit turnovers they should have a better chance than these last few games. It is important not to fall behind the Wild, as to avoid the trap they love to use once they have a lead.

Avery is an embarrassment to the NHL and needs to be kicked out of the NHL for good. He is doing these kinds of stupid things all the time. He is nothing but an instigator.

I like Roloson, but he is a bit too inconsistent. Manny will be out of the Wings' price range and the other two are still finding themselves in the NHL. Goalie is always a tough position to fill. You never know if you will end up with the next Brodeur or the next Legace.

Anyone else thinking that the Wings should sign Franzen, part ways with Hossa and go after a goalie and another defenseman?

Why would anyone start a thread about how a player is never hurt? This just screams bad luck.

Thought I'd start up a GDT to talk about some of the games going on tonight. I'm watching Bruins vs. Maple Leafs and it is a shooting gallery. 7-4 Boston through 2 periods of play. Pogge got chased after 6 goals, CuJo is in now. Fernandez is in net for the Bruins and he has played well since getting lit up. Pretty crazy game so far.

This BUF/MTL game looks like it was a good one. Wish I could have seen more of that.

What a strange Boston/Toronto game.

Villanova just made a bonehead play by trying to inbound the ball with a home run pass. Pitt gets the ball, runs down the floor, gets the foul, tied game with 5 seconds left. Yeah, Nova got the quick 2 after that, but still. Way to almost blow a trip to the Final Four.

ND is going down in flames, just like Michigan did against Air Force.

Hopefully the offense decides to show up against the Preds.

He's not saying that bumper sticker sales lead to ticket sales. What he is saying is that there is a large fans base for the Coyotes, but the management moved the arena away from that fan base. Since the product is bad, those fans don't want to spend the money to travel 40-50 miles in rush hour traffic. If the product is good, fans will buy tickets.
