If Hossa stayed for $6 million, that would be a huge discount. If we did get rid of Kronwall, we have Ericsson and Kindl down in GR. but Meech is more NHL ready. I do not want to give up on Kronwall that fast though. A rest did Lebda good in the begining of the season. I think the same would work for Kronwall. Rest Kronwall and bring him back 2-3 games before Stuart returns.

Trade Filppula, keep Leino up. Can Kopecky be sent back to GR? If he can, send him down and bring Downey or Abdelkader up. If you can't send Kopecky down, ride him for the rest of the season and then do not resign him or trade him.

I wanted to get everyones opinion on this one. Do you think that the Wings are entering their seasonal slump or are they going to recover and return to form on Saturday against the Caps? I want to believe that is is hiccup, but when Kopecky gets more ice time than Hudler, idk what to believe.

Remember that Stuart was also playing poorly before he got hurt. Now we have two defensemen that look lost, Kronwall and Rafalski. Idk if I want 3 blank faced defensemen.

The answer is that our defense looks like something out of a high school hockey team and we continue to play forwards that have absolutely no business being on the ice, cough, cough, Kopecy and Filppula, cough, cough. At this rate, we would be lucky to win one game in the first round of the playoffs. Pathetic.

Rafalski got embarassed on that goal and Conks should have had it. The puck never left the ice and it wasn't a very hard shot.

That was an awful PP. We spent the first minute in our own zone basically. We had some scoring chances down low, but the Caps kept us off balance and in our own zone.

Yes, Kopecky is UFA after this season and the Wings should NOT resign him.

I think Kopecky is getting showcased because they are thinking of keeping Leino and dumping Kopecky, imo. Flip has been ok today, not great, but ok.

A rehabbing Ericsson might be better than a clueless, lost Kronwall.

I am very impressed with both so far. Leino should get what he wants, a roster spot and Abdelkader has one in two years or so if he continues to play like this, maybe earlier.

Krownwall needs to pull his head out of his ass and start playing some damn hockey. I question Babcock for putting the fourth line out right after a goal because the Wings have been slow after scoring goals and we do not need our crap line out there that can't do anything but fill up space. Leino...wow. This kid needs a roster spot and now.

He has to play now no matter what, with Zetterberg and Homer being out. Hudler might not play either.
