3/24 GDT: St. Louis Blues @ Red Wings, 2:00 PM ET
My GF Wishes I Was Hank replied to puckloo39's topic in General
I was at work all day, anyone got a video of the lebda hit in the first? i want to see how bad it was. -
I dunno, Lebda's speed just impresses me so much. he brings so much to the game with his defensive presence, and the threat of taking the puck coast to coast at anytime is just an awesome weapon to have. Hes even throwing his weight around some what. I would have to say hes the better "all around" player over Kronwal. But in the future they will both improve and will both put up some pretty good offensive numbers as well as keep a strong blue line....

Something you would love to see...

Id love to see people other than Red Wings fans to show Yzerman some well eanred Gratitude for what he did not only for detroit but the NHL as a whole. I would also love to see people other than wings fans show the red Wings some respect rather than pure hatred.....actually strike that last one, i like being a fan of a team that everyone hates because they cant beat them... -
again, what is his mind set like? Is he just slow, does he just have problems walking and talking, or is he mentall retarded from the accident. I know that he has some problems with the walking and talking aspect because of the head injury but where did that leave him on a mental level. Is he all there, or lights out, or somewhere in between?
-
Cheated on him before or after the accident? Also what is his condition like? is he mentally retarded from the accident or just slow, or what is it exactly? its clear that hes slower now, but just how bad is it?

Matby doesnt fight because its not his job to do so. His job is to agitate and get under the other teams skin wihtout drawing a penalty. If he were to fight, he would LOSE and take the penalty. Whats the point of taking a penalty if your not even going to win a fight. Not to mention i think he has a problem with his eye from a previous injury. There is also the fact that last night was a big game and they needed the points. You dont want to put Nashville on a power play in a game that determines first place. I think hes smart to not fight. Like i said he would prob lose, and take a crappy penalty, instead he makes the other team take the stupid penalty.

Man i didnt even know they gave a website to the worst team in the league, and even more suprising....they have fans....not many but a few. And man they hate us wings fans more than they hate the wings. thats awesome.

Great news for bert, im excited, but what the hell is going on with Zata. Theres gotta be something wrong they they arent telling us. What if hes out for the season and they are just using his "return" as a decoy for the playoffs? This isnt cool, atfirst it was a 1-2 week thing then it was 2-3 now its over a month? what is going on....
-
I think bert can play with either calder and lang or franzen and flip. Preferably with calder and lang, but the way they are producing with hudler, i dont know if they are going to split them up. But i imagine bert and franzen could make some room for flip and that line could shine as well. We have such a good team that its not even fair to label our lines 1 2 3 4 because they are all fantastic
-
I didnt hear him say anything bad, what did he say about cheli?
-
haha that was awesome dats
-
just got off work and just saw hudlers second goal. How have we been playing so far? Any fights? Tootoo still pissing everyone off? Bootland get his revenge yet? and my biggest question of all.....How great is Calder playing tonight?
-
Dont spare any detail huh? haha no i like what you said, it was a very non biased take on things and i think it all made alot of sense. I agree with most of it.
-
Haha nice. Like i said im not sure if he threw his helmet off or not, but from what i remember i think he did.
-
The way he plays right now i would not want him on the wings. I love his ability to get under the other teams skin, but he would have to learn to me more patient, or put the puck in the net more, or be able to work with out special teams. As of right now he cant do anything but hit and agitate, which is great, but we need players with more than one diminsion. In a couple years he may play on a multidimensional level, but untill then he can stay in Nashville. I dont know if hes as much of a fighter as he is an agitator. I dont think he wears the visor because hes a *****. If i played the way he played i would wear a isor too. Taking a run at people and checking continuously, you are going to get opponets that raise their elbows and sticks to prtect themselves. Many of those bows and sticks will find your face. Its a way of protecting himself. Anyone that plays that way would be smart to wear a visor. Look at Malts. Same thing. Agreed, hes a player that runs on instinct and emotion. Not really a "smarts" player, which might get him and the rest of his team in trouble. I think he does drop the helmet right way, last night on his way to the box he didnt have his helmet on, and bootland didnt even get a punch in, so i think he threw it off himself. I could be wrong though.

As much as i hate the guy and hope he hurst himself one of these days tring to lay a big hit on someone and instead crushes himself head first into the boards, he is a good player at what he is there to do. He is a pest (all be it, a very dirt pest) but thats his role on the team. His job is to get under the other teams skin. Look at us as fans, we cant stand him, hes under our skin, imagine how our players feel about him. Take a look at what happened last night. He charges Schenieds (and should have been called for a penalty) but wasnt called, a minute later you have schneider running after tootoo and he gets called for a penalty. He got matt so off his game that he went after him.( just like anyone else would do) that justshows how effective he is at that part of the game. But if you ask me, hes a very one dimentional player. He can only go out there to piss off the other team and then either return to the bench or the penalty box. He scores occasionally, but he cant do a PK and he doesnt get any PP time either. If you ask me i take Maltby over TooToo any day. He plays with just as much intensity, but isnt trying to kill anyone, and he is very usefull on the PK and even gets some PP time. Hes a mlti dimensional player, and if you ask any coach in the league which they rather have, ime sure they would chose a muti dimensional player like Malts over a one dimensional player like TooToo any day. Tootoo causes more goals then he prevetns with his constant Penalties putting his team shorthanded.

I was just wondering if anyone in your world was allowed to have their own opinion, or if you are ever wrong? I was just wondering because it seems like with you noone can say anything that may be an opinion, and everyone always seems to be wrong with you....
