He just doesnt do anything for me. His shot he rarely takers a shot and when he does its usually blocked by someone before it even makes it to the goalie. His shot seems weak, doesnt really have much power behind it. With all his turnovers, he can really only get better if you ask me. He just better do it soon. And 100 games doesnt seem like a lot, but look at someone like crosby, or malkin, or ovechkin. Kronwall didnt have as much hype as those guys, but he did have quite a bit of it, and hasnt stepped up at all. Im just waiting to see something from him that i dont see in every other mediocre defensemen in the NHL. I want to see him do something that stands out, and the only thing i have seen from him that stands out so far are his turnovers. I think Brett Lebda has been more impressive then Kronwall, and hes been in the league less time. Hes go speed and enddurance, and some what of a good shot. Hes adapted better to the NHL than kronwall has.

You just stated the exact thing that i hate about him. he gives the puck up to much. Now i think hes a good player, but hte turnovers in our own ends that result in goals.....they gotta go. Also i guess im just kinda of dissapointed with his progression over the 2 years.Everyone kept saying hes suppose to step up and be like lidstrom, and be a good offensive player while still being dominant on defense. Hes not putting up any numbers. His plus minus is the worst on the team, and his slap shot just looks weaker than any other defensemen in the the league. I just wished he would have stepped up to all the hype that was put on him. Hopefully he still can. The only thing i like is that hes finally starting to throw his weight around, but he didnt really start doing that till he got that mask. Hopefully he wil continue that once it comes off (if he ever takes it off haha). Hes not a bad player, just not hte player i was expecting thus far in his career.

I guess i didnt really factor all them in. I think Homer is essential to the team, draper has speed for an older guy, i still love matlby no matter how many bahsers there out there, i think hes good at waht he does, osgood is a good backup, there is no guarantee hasek stays, and langs contract is up, markov asks for to much so i dont see us keepin him. Your right, iguss there are alot of older guys, but some of them play very well still. I dont think you get rid of people that are still playing well just because they are old and you want a young team

You need some vetran leadership...other than lids cheli and schneids the rest of the tema is pretty young still, not a bad mix i dont think

if we are to resign schnieds hes going to have to start playing like the schneider that played for the wings before his ijnury. Since his come back he has done nothing but give up turn over after turnover, and itskilling us. Before his injury he was moeny. He was scoring like crazy, he was assisting like crazy. He was excelent. He was giving lidstrom a run for his money. But now hes playing like a rookie with all the turnovers. Hes going to have to show me alot the next couple of weeks to convince me that he can play the way he used to. If he can do that then i say resign him. If not hes more of a reliability than a good player, we already have two liabilities between Kronner and lilja, cant really afford a third in my book.

Not his first, prob wont be his last. Hes resilient. I think he will be ok. Hopefully he doesnt pull a Primeau

yeah i saw this a while ago and thought it was hiliarious. Thats someting i would totally do just to get a laugh. Some of you guys scare me when you jump straight to "homophobic" thoughts. It was merely a joke that the two were playing, nothing sexual about it, not like they were taking eachothers cloths off pushed up against the boards in a hot in heavy love fest. They just put their arms around eachother and enjoyed the fight from a front row perspective. HILARIOUS

i do miss that presence on the ice. He will forever be one of my favorite players. Thats the type of player the wings were lacking thsi year. But not we have bert. Id love tosee him come back to detroit, but with the foothold he has made in New york it prob wont happen

I agree with some of the things that you are saying, but i dont agree with you faulting him for taking to many shots. I dont think thats a good reason to call someone a terrible player, last time i checked you can only score if you shoot, now some of his shots might be stupid decisions but atleast he knows what hes going to do with the puck once he gets it. I also dont think the past two games are really good games to judge his type of play as noone has played that great. I wish he would pass more, but maybe once all of our regualrs come back from injury he will be more hesitant to shoot and more likely to pass. We'll see. I like him, but he's swedish so i automatically like him haha

Well a cup victory looks great in any color wings jersey, but the darks just seem so much more traditional. I dont know why. I like the whites too but the reds just seem to make more sense since we are the RED wings.

Agreed, darks just look better. They tend to be more intimidating to ther teams too, not that they arent intimidated enough just by having to play in detroit with the detroit fans around them haha

With those kind of padded stats he could coats the rest of his career and make the HOF no problem.

if we can tie it up or go into the 3rd period just 1 goal behind i guarantee a victory. We have such a good third period team that i just cant see us losing to boston. Just hope it stays out of ot because they are a much better team in us in OT
