The thing is, they both wern't wrong. Lebda completed a 100% clean hipcheck that was in no way dirty. Even if it was "clipping", you don't come up to a downed man and punch him in the face. That was completely classless of Langkow, and he deserves nothing short of a 1 game suspension for it. Don't act like there were victims on both teams today.

I think last season traumatized me. I've watched 3 series end this year on live T.V., and I feel for every single team and their fans when I see it end for them. This was especially true for Nashville last night, even though I absolutely hate their team. It just seemed so much like our last game last year, watching them try their hardest to get that tieing goal in during the final seconds, I sware I felt that sinking feeling all over again. Here's to hoping the Wings can save us from that this year.

I completely understand all of the points people are making in favor of the flames, and to be honest with you, I only have one reason to say we are going to win this series. I just can't see us dropping another first round. The team knows whats expected of them, and Babcock knows it to, because he doesn't want to lose his job. It may be shotty reasoning, but I have strong faith in it. Get past round 1, and nothing is stopping this team.

I am very confident that the Wings will win this series, but I have to say one thing..... Game 3 is without a doubt the most important game of this series for the Wings to win. Don't think the Wings don't know that they have sub-par performance out west. If they win game 3, they will without a doubt win the series, assuming they also won one of the home games. If they can't win game 3, it's going to be alot harder.

I have no idea where to start here, but I had to make this thread. Tomorrow is going to be the most exciting night of hockey in a long time. Montreal is one point ahead of Toronto for the 8th spot, and they play each other in Toronto. That is about as sweet as it gets. Toronto needs to win in regulation to get the eighth spot and make it into the playoffs. And, as was discussed by Ken Daniels last night, this means that if it is tied going into the last minute or two of the third period, Toronto will have to pull their goalie. Personally, as much as it is wishful thinking to have things fall into place like this, a Detroit-Toronto Finals would be the greatest series of my life. I want Toronto to win this game so bad, and I think they will. Go Leafs.

I'm having some trouble thinking this one through myself, so I need some help. The Wings have had a great season this year, and part of that can undoubtedly be credited to our stellar defense. However, we so many key players in our defense, that it's hard to measure their individual contributions (except for lidstrom of course, who is +36). How much of this season's success left the ice with Kronwall last game? And is our defense so good that it won't make a difference in our game?
