If there's one thing I hate, its the stupid attitude that we deserved what we got because we should have beat them in the first place. It's the typical attitude of someone who is ignorant and knows nothing about the sport. Yeah, the wings are a great team, yeah, one would expect them to crush the blues. But it didn't happen. We were down 2-0, and we scored two legit goals that put us into overtime. Nobody scored in overtime, which means a shootout is in store. Nowhere in the rules does it say "feel free to make calls contradictory to the rules if the team getting screwed should have been winning anyways." Honestly, if you hold the opinion that we "deserved" what we got because we should have crushed them, there's something terribly wrong with you.

How much do nose bleeder tickets cost in the playoffs? Do the prices change as the series gets longer (game 4 is more than 1, 2, and 3)? I'm thinking some round 1 game 7 tickets might be a nice thing to have.

Does anyone else happen to remember Ken Daniels and Mickey Redmond saying that Osgood was going to be getting a new mask? I thought they said this 2-3 months ago, and I haven't heard much about it since. I think they said that it was going to be a hasek-style mask. It's not that big of a deal, I just want to make sure I wasn't dreaming.

Yeah, thats cool. I love his current mask too, I was just wondering what ever happened to him getting the new one. I'm suprised most goalies don't take the Hasek-Ozzie path when it comes to masks. Nothing was more annoying than watching Manny bob his head back and forth trying to adjust the other kind, they just look like they move around too much.

Anyone else think its going to be Ozzie in Nashville and Dom against Dallas next week? I can picture that happening. And btw, what ever happened to that new Hasek style mask he was getting?

I think you misunderstood me. I was pointing out that Osgood was doing good at keeping us in the game. I was making the observation that Osgood doesn't have the greatest luck, meaning that when he starts it seems like the team is at a below average energy level. GO WINGS!!!

I'm beginning to wonder if the team would play differently in front of ozzie if he put on hasek's mask and jersey and spoke with a czechoslovakian accent. Psychologists would have a field day with that one.

I imagine it is a pretty tough thing to go through for him. I don't know what happened to J-Wil this year, but here's to hoping he goes to Chicago and pulls a Cleary. He's still young, and I think that this move could bring about a change in his career. Good Luck

This is exactly what its called, a trade, in a literal sense. Two players with equivalent roles have been switched. This is a low risk move by Holland, and one that should go without criticism. No need to worry unless this is the only move he's going to make, and I highly doubt that. Is anyone else thinking this is just a small move to make up for the loss of cleary?

Hey guys! I've been a reader here for quite some time, but this has been my first real chance to register and post. Personally, I think that this move only hurts our chances of getting Guerin. I think most teams would take Guerin over Tkachuk 7 days out of the week, so it only makes you wonder what St. Louis's asking price for him is. I agree with Holland that we cannot sell our future, however, I do believe there are less "significant" moves out there that could have an impact on our team, LaPointe being one of them. With the recent injury to Dan Cleary, we should at least find someone to fill his role and continue to be a part of the team come playoff time. ETA: When you guys see my avatar, do you realise that it is an effect that gives it that appearance, or does it just look like a poor quality image. I couldn't come up with any great ideas, but I don't think it looks bad. No offense will be taken, I'm just looking for some outside opinions.
