Just watched the versus replay. I think he said "Pretty nice for a backup." The beginning was kind of muffled but "backup" was loud and clear. I love the sarcastic smile Ozzie gave him, it was like he was saying "funny, dick."

Last year during Game 6 against the Ducks, I was amazed at how calm and profesisonal the Wings stayed when they were down 4-1. It almost led to them tying the game. We see this all season long too. Tonight, the Wing's all business, professional way of doing things will send the Pittsburgh Penguins on a plane to Detroit.

Yeah but this is 2008. He brings absolutely nothing to the game that Ericsson/Meech cannot.

Definitely make all goals reviewable. Also, get rid of that damned trapezoid. I hate on-ice restrictions with a passion.

God it kicks ass being a fan of an amazing team. When our goalie is 9-0 in the playoffs, we don't say he's due for a loss, but that he's due for a shutout.

I don't agree with his reasons for the empty seats, but I am equally disgusted by them.

Can someone please describe the obstructed view seats for me? I'm just curious to see what is obstructed in them. I have pics from Game 1 against Calgary last year, and the advertisement boards blocked the top of the scoreboard. Are there worse obstructions than that?

TSN says we're winning 1-0 with 8:37 left in the 1st. Scared the hell out of me thinking I missed some. I checked every site because I knew the game was at 10:00, and I was right. They effed something up.

Honestly, where in the hell do people continue to get this "Detroit doesn't like physical play" bulls*** from? We matched out opponents last year, and we've done it so far this year too.

lol, yeah I fell asleep with the TV on during a Tigers game once, and woke up a 3am when the replay was on. I, of course, thought the game was still on and was absolutely astonished until I noticed the inning.

Maybe I am misreading you, but they are not playing tonight. Maybe you're watching a replay of a recap. I still think the Stars will win that series, the Ducks have no offense and they're about as overrated as they come.

Is there any solid information or reasoning to think that the Joe will or will not sell out during the playoffs this year? I just checked Ticketmaster and I could still purchase game 1 tickets in the upper bowl (already have ). Kind of worries me seeing that they are still available. We have sold out some regular season games though, so I don't see why the playoffs would go without being sold out. Whats your 2¢ents?

I wouldn't say I worry about it, but seeing playoff hockey at the Joe is supposed to be more than just watching an important hockey game. I was never able to go to something like game 7 of the WCF in 2002, but I would really like to be able to experience the intensity of a pumped sellout crowd at the Joe.

Can someone explain this to me? They keep on saying a win for us clinches the President's. San Jose has 102 points and 5 games left. (102 + [5 x 2]) = 112. Our win tonight would give us 110. How is that clinching?
