Has anybody heard anything about when he will be able to dump the chin guard? Just curious.

Filppula=Datsyuk-Holmstom Clear-Zetterberg-Samuelsson Hudler-Brunnstrom-Franzen Maltby-Draper-McCarty Downey Lidstrom Rafalski Stuart-Kronwall Chelios-Ericsson Lilja Osgood-Howard Where do all of you guys think Cheli is going. He is not going to retire.

I really love the games we play against Nashville, especially since last year. Would I be hanged if I stated that I hope we lose in overtime today? Nashville needs those two points. I really don't want to be stuck with Vancouver in round 1, or any other western Canadian team for that matter. Radulov in OT baby.

Matt Ellis is apparently on waivers, according to eklund. Is this related to injuries, McCarty, or a trade?
-
I would disagree. If Lidstrom were out for the playoffs, I would absolutely not want Kenny to move any of our assets for what would surely be a failed post-season. But lets not jump to conclusions, Lidstrom could be back tonight for all we know.

Win-Win situation this afternoon for the Wings. Here's why: If we win, we escape our slump and gain confidence from beating the 2nd place team in the conference. If we lose, Dallas widens the gap in their division, and the chances of a 4/5 Anaheim/San Jose first round matchup increase. That would be beautiful.

That was an early 90's esque Don Cherry nationalist tirade. No thanks.

I truly wouldn't question Ken Holland if he were to give Lilja away. Addition by subtraction. But in all honesty, how could someone like Ericcsson be any worse?
-
Same here. I really like the idea of having him play the point on the second power play unit. Lidstrom and Rafalski are are only true point threats, and we have no forward who even has a half decent point shot *glares at Samuelson*. A few weeks back I watched the Rangers play the Maple Leafs on HNIC, and there was old Shanny playing the point on the Rangers PP. He absolutely blasted a shot top shelf on Andrew Raycroft, and it really made me wonder why nobody can do that on our team (forwards). I know for a fact that Fedorov still has the same shot he had back in his Wing years.

If the wings make it to the finals, will it even be possible for a non season ticket holder to get a hold of some single game ticks? Or do they usually all get taken.

lol I know, I just felt I had to point out that it isn't nice going around the interweb saying that people are into child porn.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libel I'd be careful.

Does anybody know why the lighting is always so messed up at the shark tank? It seems like they warmed up as the game went along. I notice the same thing at Tampa games.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlA-ZTdz6z0 Happens at 3:10. Just thought I'd share this video with you. Reminds me of Hasek on Getzlaf last year in the WCF. Edit: Should probably be in the water cooler. Any help mods? My apologies.

2 points for a regulation win 1 point for an OT/SO win 0 points for a loss. done.

We often talk about adding a physical presence to the blue line that will not cough up the puck too much. Does anybody think that in light of our great spot in the standings, that Carney could be a realistic trade for the Red Wings to Make with the Wild? What would Minny need in return?
-
3-2 wings in the shootout. Zetterberg twice in regulation. Hudler with the shoulder fake/back hand winner in the SO. Hasek gets caught outside of the trapezoid (don't ask).

Wow, you guys aren't going to believe this. First his points, then the ESPN profile number, now this. Look at the url for his picture on Sports Illustrated. I can't believe this. http://i.a.cnn.net/si/images/hockey/nhl/players/666.jpg The weirdest thing is that I think thats a complete coincidence. Just try changing the number one digit at a time, and you'll see that just another player comes up.

LMFAO Someone change this guys username to Junior_GM

I think it's good. As people have said, we will be more prepard for the playoffs when they come. Has anyone else pondered this thought though? I think there is a huge chance that the 8th seed will be a central division team, and an even greater chance the the Red Wings will be the 1st. Unlike a series against San Jose/Anaheim or a team from W.C., I don't think I'd be worried too much about that series. Even after the whopping Chicago has been handing us this year, that would be one series that I would be much more confident with than one against a western Canadian team.

Considering the second goal on ozzie traveled its first 20 feet on the surface of the ice, but ended up going in top corner, I think it's safe to say that the deflection was nothing short of ridiculous.
-
I find it funny that an organization that wa so quick to boot Manny Legace out the door keeps on oh so forgivingly throwing the coldest goalie in the NHL on the ice while one of the hottest is left on the bench.

Hasek was absolutely not the losing factor in tonights game. This was his best game so far, but on the other hand, it's pretty sad when you're best game is sub 900. Osgood is playing great though, and should have been in there regardless.

I know. The point is, both teams were screwed equally. One team capitalized.
