Ovi, Rick Nash, Versteeg, Pavelski...It goes on, but I'd say those are my top 4. I like Steve Ott a lot too.

Still not sure why he didn't get more of a chance in the big league. Far and away better than Conner, in my opinion. Maybe he was just really bad the one game I saw him in (my first and only Grifs game), I have seen a lot of people praise him on this forum. It really bothers me the way some of you talk about Modano. I thought this forum had enough class to show a little respect to a future hall-of-famer....I mean the guy had an amazing career and was/is an inspiration to US born hockey players of this generation. The guy got mistreated in Dallas (IMO), and he came to his hometown to give hockey another try. He got injured right when he was starting to flow with his linemates and fit into the wings way of doing things, plus he's had a bunch of good chances, just bad luck...so its understandable that he is pretty much back to step one. What did you expect a 20+ goal season? I think having him for the price he's at is a steal. on another note: I really wish Babcock would stop playing Moe with Homer...besides the Pens game last night they really havent clicked IMO.

My top choice would be Chara for obvious reasons. I wanted Mike Ribeiro since his Montreal days, it upset me deeply that the Stars got him for pretty much nothing (some picks I think?). Listen, I love my wings just like the rest of you and I have complete faith in our boys, but PLEASE stop saying they ARE going to win the cup next year!! I see things like that all the time on this board. I sincerely swear that I don't mean to be negative and I do have complete faith in our boys but it is just bad karma to say things like that. I mean you could say its probable or even very likely they will win and that's not bad. I only say this because its true. If you count your chickens before they hatch and get too cocky (no pun intended) you're just asking for trouble. I said this same thing the year cindy won the cup bc alnost everyone on here was saying the wings were no doubt gonna win bc they were on home ice....needless to say "chickens" were counted a little prematurely.
