Yeah. He hasn't been bad at all. One of the Swedish commentators just said: "I wonder if he might not be one of the 3 best opening passers in the world." I'm thinking he meant the World Championships but you never know :S.

7-10 years isn't that bad though for this guy. Doesn't seem to get injured much, doesn't play a reckless style, has pretty good play-off point-totals and he's only going to be 23 this year. At the oldest, he'll be 33 at the end of the contract. And like you say - keeping the Ovie-Backs pairing going for a while is not a bad idea.

With the Flyer's no. But if he gets traded to Pittsburgh or Vancouver and gets to play with Crosby or the Sedins then he'll explode. Just goes to show that any decision made by Detroit management is completely stupid.
