As long as Detroit makes the playoffs I think a lot of people will be surprised. I'd prefer San Jose just because their top players aren't exactly big game players - take the Olympics as a recent example.

Considering the kind of contracts teams will offer in the NHL, I'm guessing any KHL offer will pretty much have to be double that. Don't really know if Kovie is the kind of player who only goes for the cash or if he'll stick around to win something...

If we're entering a rebuilding phase then this is definitely a factor the team needs to consider - doesn't necessarily mean he isn't a bad off-season signing.

The big thing for Detroit fans right now is getting some kind of a replacement for Lidström and in a lesser sense Rafalski but looking for a miracle fix like this is definitely not the answer.

I'll be happy if Canada wins cuz Yzerman'll have a Gold Medal but I'd prefer if the US won - always go for the underdog.

Finland playing like Sweden did: no energy, no passion, no pride. You're not going to win any games, let alone 1-on-1 battles, playing like they do right now. I don't see Canada losing against Slovakia so we've got a dream match-up in the final at least. Go USA!

Extremely disappointed with Sweden's performance and the fact that I sacrificed all but 3 hours of sleep for this crap just makes me even more hateful. f***
