Game was quite boring, esp. the 3rd period. A win is a win tbh and there were enough positives in the game for me not to be discouraged. Franzén should get bumped up - he's too good for a checking line. Forsberg seems to be fine. Lundqvist was calm and relaxed. Sedins are doing their thing and if Franzén joins that line good things will happen. Bäckström and Alfy work really well - probably the best Swedish line. Enström and Öhlund looked much better than I thought. I think we're going to see the line combos change a bit but as it is right now I'm not too worried. The real test will be Finland anyway.

Which is why he's paired with Öhlund. Not really crazy about those two as the top pairing but most likely BÅG will try to roll 3 offensive lines. Depending on how fit and ready Forsberg and Franzén are I'm guessing they'll switch some of the placements around.

Sweden isn't exactly heavily favoured against USA; definitely not as much as Canada or Russia. And they have Miller who could stand on his head for a game or two which really should be enough: semifinal and final.

Considering Yzerman's involvement in this competition it would be weird for someone to request #19.

LOL. We don't do s***. The organization around the Swedish Olympic team seems to be imploding. First the Samuelsson-incident and now, and especially, this. Tbh I really don't care much whether he plays for Sweden this year or not, as long as it doesn't screw with his recovery and form when with Detroit.
