    Bert. Good signing this time?

Yeah. Let's see what happens in the next 10 games.

    LGW SUCKS!

    Yeah, that pisses me off.

Who would you move for Kovalchuk?

Trading Kovalchuk is franchise suicide for Atlanta.

    Opponents hacking our goalies

I really don't think Philadelphia is a team Detroit should emulate.

    Fedorov turns 40

Still miss the good old days. Happy birthday!

    smaller nhl?

Yeah. Unless there's a huge financial meltdown that affects most of the league it's more likely to expand than shrink.

    Adversity for the win.

    future of the club

To be honest, Chara scores 50ish points a season now, he didn't at the beginning of his career. So yeah, Ericsson could become... something. But he isn't Lidstrom who scored 60 points his first season. As far as the other 3, well, they're among the best players of the last 20 years. And they showed it in their first seasons. I'm not saying our prospects suck, but superstars they are not. Yeah, he was also awarded with the Guldpuck (pretty much MVP for the SEL) in 2002 before he came over to Detroit. He was also the highest scoring player on the All-Rookie Team in 2003. Does anyone of Detroit's current prospects have that kind of history? Well, Larsson does, so we'll see what happens. Ha ha ha, very funny.

Axelsson wants to go back to Farjestads BK

    1. I really doubt Nill simply said no. 2. I really doubt Nill hasn't discussed this with Axelsson at length. Why have a player on your team unless he understands that there's a plan for him. 3. And most importantly. Axelsson isn't putting up a fight.

    future of the club

Depends on what you mean by future. If you mean MVP quality then no, if you mean solid members of the team, then all but Tatar already are. And looking at Tatar's development so far he might turn into quite a good top-6er. But yeah, there's no Datsyuk or Lidström in that bunch.

    Brodeur Ties Sawchuk

    Very impressive and probably unbreakable.

Are Any of These Teams for Real?

Yeah. Washington went on a crazy winning streak at the end of the season. Miracle for them.

    Enough Jimmy Howard Bashing

Hopefully he'll get enough starts this season to prove himself as a starter if he's capable. Before the season started I was doubtful of what he could accomplish, now I really have no idea; more time is necessary.

    Fail.

    Carcillo Suspension

Stupid stupid move. I think he deserves the 4 games just because of that, not because of risk of injury.

12/6 GDT: Red Wings 3 at Rangers 1

Detroit needs a win here so they don't start slipping completely out of the race too early.

Where would you put your team?

From a purely financial standpoint it would survive. But most likely the fans would be extremely casual, with a scattering of very fanatical transplanted fans.

Where would you put your team?

I love Seattle and I'm pretty sure they could handle a team.

Art Ross winner by season's end?

I hope he fails. I hate him more than I hate... New Jersey.

    Good move for both parties.

Jakub Kindl called up from Grand Rapids

I hope he doesn't try to too hard and make mistakes. A nice simple game is all that's necessary.

I'm guessing he means the relationship of Michigan - USA and Ontario - Canada.

I really hope he gets better permanently, one of the few bright spots on Toronto's team this year.
