Well not exactly surprising - this has been coming for a while now. The effects though will be interesting, not that they necessarily will be that visible on the surface...

Nice to see Ericsson given a chance. I'll try to catch the games he's in to see what he can do...
-
Sounds promising at the very least.

Wow. I thought the guy had retired. Nice to see he's still kicking butt.

How is Larsson doing? Haven't really been following up on the guy after he left Sweden but he was doing great back then. I hope he's developing well...

I'm so happy I wasn't the first to say this!!

I would pay for a few games a season if the quality was ok. Don't really have the time to stay up late for every game anymore like the last few seasons. All I want is some of the bigger games + early week-end games and the playoffs so getting a season package is too expensive and unnecessary. So in short, yes I would probably pay for it.

Oh I agree with a lot of the stuff he says, like I said earlier 90% - it might even be more. Actually the last few % I might agree with as well but he tells it in such a way that I can't help but take offense. There's a difference between being blunt and just being plain obnoxious. That said, I just have a problem with how he expresses his opinions. I get why he is popular and I don't have a problem at all with him being on the air - it's entertainment! His outfits alone warrant debates and discussions!

Cherry a prejudiced commentator who knows what he likes and dislikes and isn't afraid of saying so in a what is a very offensive tone. He's inconsistent, he glosses over certain players' flaws and he loves picking on certain type of players. But a lot of what he says also makes sense. It's sort of 90% good stuff and 10% crazy stuff. I stopped watching Cherry's bit because I couldn't stand the 10% but I'm not really surprised at the stuff that sometimes comes out of his mouth nor do I much cary anymore; most people seem to accept it as one of his eccentricities and sort of accept it. About the Ovechkin comments: I think it all figures into the package. I can't blame him for showing how much fun he's having and I really doubt he's doing it only to taunt and piss off other players and fans. But I also get that it bothers people. Personally I just accept it as being part of what makes him distinctive and if he deserves a beat down for that, for that matter if you think he's going to stop because of that, then you are wrong.

Some new Kool-Aid?

A class act that leads to some great PR, kind and smart!

All I can say is wow...

I was trying to think of some kind of a pun involving "losing his wits" but I couldn't think of one. In any case, stupid and completely unnecessary hit.
-
Well having Tortorella on the team is a big enough disturbance - adding Avery might be overkill.
-
Pronger bye-bye?
-
Nice to see that Larsson is getting some love. Oh and I wouldn't be surprised if Axelsson has even slightly more potential than shown in this evaluation; his season has been kinda messed up.
-
I really think he'll hit 500 goals (which I would love) but more importantly I think he'll be very valuable for the Caps in their play-off run.
-
Yeah. And Kovalev will be MVP.
-
BLASPHEMER!!! And yes I'm joking. The Sharks make my list of 'ok' teams too.
-
A bit of a surprise but I hope Howard has a good time anyway with any of the starts he gets.
-
haha exactly the phrase that popped into my head when I saw this trade

Oh come on, think about it! One of the closest rows going absolutely crazy!! Gotta represent !

Hedman is huge and like you guys say would probably develop quite quickly and well in Detroit if given the appropriate ice time. Though the same goes for Tavares as well. Meh if Detroit snagged either one of them it would be wonderful and I doubt it would matter much considering the team is as stacked as it is. But going with my gut I would likely take Tavares and I probably wouldn't be disappointed...

I'll be honest, I didn't really notice the guy until last years playoffs but since then he's been one of my absolute favorite players. Sweet player...
