At this point it would likely have to be near the league-max if he signed with any craptacular team. If he signs for a contender I wouldn't be surprised if it was loaded with bonus stuff depending on how far the team goes in the playoffs, awards, points, goals, etc.

Go with Ozzie. Seriously. And have Howard play a bundle of games with Larsson coming up for a couple if he does well in the GR. Esp considering the crap that's available. I don't see why this setup is so bad? I mean how is Howard a bigger risk than Hasek was?

Yeah that was it. He didn't have the heart. I bet that was the reason for Crosby and Hossa not scoring a single point in games 1 and 2 as well. Malkin scored 10 goals and 20 poins before the final started and then suddenly decided when he got there that it was enough and time to walk away...
