Not really surprising this deal is getting done - good for Washington fans, hopefully the team will continue to build around him...And just so u guys realize, the Caps are only 4 points out of a playoff spot - another 3-4 games won would prolly put them there...

It's extremely unlikely that Toronto management will unsettle Sundin unless the offer for him is first rate and the club he'd go to is first rate. The guy wants to be part of the team re-modeling and he will resign with Toronto during the off-season if he gets traded, no matter the success he'd have with his new team. But yeah, the guy isn't going anywhere...

Ok this game is ******* insane...Some great hockey by Canada in the first 2 periods and then Sweden takes over...Beautiful hockey - this is what it's all about...Not the crap goals from the first match...GREAT STUFF!! EDIT: I should add that the Swe commentators are going completely crazy...It's been a while since I heard something this crazy!!

Well to be honest both Brunnström and Videll could probably do quite well in Detroit though I doubt they'd get any ice-time. Brunnström might be difficult to sign but perhaps they could get a hold of Videll... -

Don't have much time for watchin the local junior teams but it's always fun to watch the internationals...Different tempo and feel to the games...Great stuff!!

I have to tell you, watching clips from that game or the actual game brings tears to my eyes. Simply beautiful. But the biggest reaction I have is: "Damn I miss Fedorov. So much." That smiling face after he scores the goal says it all.

I've always liked Axelsson but I sort of doubt the Bruins will let him go even they tumble down the standings. Nice guy too, met him during the lock-out for a few minutes, got his autograph lying around here somewhere...

The contract is more or less around the level i expected it to be. A small discount compared to what he was getting before. A lovely , albeit late, xmas present. Ahh I'm so happy .

Considering he's doing way better this year compared to last and he has another year on his contract (I'm not 100% on that but pretty sure) I doubt he'll go unless mtl are out and they get a good offer. Ryder will quite likely get traded if MTL gets a decent enough offer - I don't think it'll take that much, after all he's UFA after this season and he hasn't exactly been playing well.

Meh...I just want them to do well in the play-offs. It's fun that they're always among the dominant teams during the regular season but I really want a Cup again and hopefully this is the year...
