A nice laugh...

Well I'm glad you're happy you were right...With the exception that I haven't really seen anyone on this page argue that his health isn't a problem...Rather that was the one big issue people said was the problem: "Detroit should sign him IF he's healthy". Well obviously he isn't...

Oh...In the light of the most recent update I hope Detroit passes on Forsberg - why risk it...

I guess Detroit's continuing greatness, season after season, is getting funny...

Ilya Kovalchuk scores 3 goals in the 3rd period tonight..

This guy is scary when he really wants to be. It's sad to see great players play on a team where he won't be able to win anything... -
All I know is I'm already going crazy waiting for the Wings to play again...

It's nice to have some guys back...

Yeah, more people will certainly see it hurrr...

Oh and Spector deals with Hossa a little bit too. It seems unlikely they'll move him unless they get a monster deal. And I do mean monster...

I really like this guy - natural goal-scorer - and I'd love to see him playing for the Wings. Will it happen? - not very likely, no. He'll want to go to a contender if he leaves Atlanta but he'll also want money - can Detroit offer that? I'm not so sure...This wouldn't have been a problem 5 years ago btw...

My hometown team is Frölunda and one of the biggest rivalries I suppose is always with the capital city team Djurgården, or DIF. Well I don't know about rivalries but it's always fun to see them lose. But this year there are two players on that team that makes me support DIF in secret. And they're not doing that bad. Dick Axelsson 8 games - 5 goals 2 assists and 10 shots on goal only Larsson, Daniel 9 games - GA 1,99 - S% 92,83 - 3 SO Not bad right. Dick Axelsson is showing real potential. 50% of his shots on goal go in. Hopefully he'll keep it up. In a league like SEL if he ends up with 15-20 goals total would be cool. If he then performs in the playoffs, we might have a sweet player on our hands. The scorer we've been missing. And he isn't too small either - 6' 2''. I know size isn't everything but if he's got the attitude as well then . Last year I was already looking at Daniel Larsson and thought he had potential. Definitely ahead of Stefan Liv in terms of potential. Liv can mix crazy good games with terrible performances. Definitely not the stability necessary for performing in NHL. But Daniel Larsson is a different story. Last season he played 49 games, and recorded 3 SO, 2,53 GA and 91,08 S%. Not too bad when playing for a team that missed the playoffs. With 9 games played in this season he's already matched his SO from last season and his record is better. I do realize that the season is long and that there's many games left but if they can keep it up then we've got a couple of really interesting prospects right here!

That would just be weird :S.

I can understand the interest in this guy - on the other hand, most people already know each other's opinions about this guy, at least on this board. I'm going to watch the upcoming Karjala cup ONLY to see if the guy is worth it. If it is - then as long as the contract is for 1 year only - I wouldn't mind throwing as much money as is necessary at him for him to come play for Detroit.
-
The problem with Liv was always the stability - he could mix amazing games with complete blow-outs. Larsson on the other hand seems to be a lot more even - a lot like a certain NYR goalie. It's unfortunate that Liv is going to get the nr 1 spot in the upcoming Karjala Cup...and Larsson isn't even in the squad. Sigh...

Incidentally didn't Filps feed a pretty nice one to Sammy in the same game? Hopefully both Rex and Flip will at least start to produce some what - I don't need them to go crazy, just play decently...

I hope he can repeat this goal - several times. He needs to.

As long as Vancouver is even close to being a contender then Luongo will stay on. I'm not really surprised he left Florida, god knows he gave them a long time to show some improvement. I think Vancouver will start to improve as soon as they get rid of Näslunds bloated salary. I don't mean that they get rid of him, just that they pay him less so they can afford to sign someone else...

Congrats to the Flames! The contract length + $ per year is insane - I wish we had that security. Here's to hoping Lids signs for that amount too - it's certainly comparable, well at least sort of...

Summed that up very nicely indeed...

Suspension? I don't know...Hit to the head sure and it looked nasty - but there wasn't any "malice" nor could I notice any kind of intent to injure, he just went a bit too far. Maybe a few games who knows. But it looks more accidental in that he was as badly hurt as he was...

All I'm gonna say is - if the Rangers somehow let Lundqvist go...then the management is just silly...
