I'll be honest, I don't have much of an opinion about the expansion/contraction thing. As the amount of teams has grown, the development of players has become better and the influx of Euro players has balanced out the quality. The thing that I really don't get is why the amount of regular season games has stayed the same even as the playoffs take longer time to finish. And what's up with the scheduling, the person who came up with that should be shot...

wrong forum i think but who cares... I like the game for PS3 but I tried the PC version at a friend's house and it was...more or less the same... I'll prolly end up playing NHL 08 for the PS3 quite a bit...

Agreed. I think much more pressure should be placed on people like Filps and Rex to prove themselves when given more minutes and more responsibility.

Um...wtf? How do those issues even compare to a hockey player getting a mild injury. I'm not going to be pissed at Schneider, we got Rafalski instead and that makes me much happier. Get healthy Matt!!

I suppose. But I think he still would have a bigger impact here - just because they'd respect him doesn't mean they'd listen to him. That goes for his situation in Detroit too but he's been here for a long time and probably has bigger influence.

Until I actually see him play or get reviews of him playing against qualified opposition - e.g. an actual nhl game - I'm not going to pass judgement. I'm still much more excited about Ryno...

I actually wouldn't mind Sopel but to be honest I thought this would be the year when some of our young ones would really get a chance to shine. Hopefully Sopel will be owned by someone like Kindl during camp...

Meh. If Bowman gets more or less full control then perhaps maybe. But otherwise why should he bother? If he gets a role similar to what he has with the Wings then why would he leave. He knows everyone here, they listen to him and respect his opinion.

Nice to see Grigs perform. I'm not too worried about the scoring. Sure a sniper would be nice but its not like our players are incapable of finding the back of the net. Hopefully Ryno will develop well in NA and be able to use his size. He won't learn that in Europe.

That was the first thing that went thru my head when I read the first post: "Forsberg without the 21? Goddamn...". Doesn't mean anything though. Would have been nice if they'd let #14 stay out of circulation until Shanny retired or something but it's not like it reaaally matters.
