I'd love for the Rangers to win but I doubt that will happen unless they win a game up in Buffalo before going down to New York. Ottawa will beat the Devils. Period.

For the people not watching the game...could you please tell us what the hell just happened?

Well it's too bad he won't be playing in the Worlds. I'm not gonna go into the issue of attitude but he's an entertaining player and it would have been fun to watch him play.

My first reaction was a mix of: + + Näslund from a few years ago I would not mind but right now there are so many others I'd rather sign.

First of all, why is this even news? Second of all, why do Wings fans care? We've got the Datsyuk contract, Zetters back, Dom's age and like a million other things to talk about that are more important. I don't mean that the subject is unimportant, just that people tend to blow it way out of proportion. Lundy got pissed for a pretty good reason. He doesn't have to go through the same crap in most other places, why should he have to move for the NYI?

Buffalo winning would make my day. Mainly cuz i want toronto to make the playoffs.

Yeah..about Buffalo. When playing them you need to out-muscle them while at the same time playing a disciplined game. You don't really need the most amazing defenders as long as your forwards back you up and forecheck nicely - see Toronto in 5 periods . Then there are teams like the NYR who've just been messed up the last 15 games. I think Buffalo is a tad bit overrated, but obviously there's a reason for that...when they are good, they are Cup-winner good.

Agreed. Obviously Sammy is most people's choice, and you know...it might happen, but I don't think it's very likely.

they can complain about the refs if they want, they still lost the season series against the Wings...and refs really don't give the Wings many favours...

We could do a lot worse than Ozzie as backup and I really like the way he's been playing lately. But come play-offs, I want Hasek.

I kinda doubt it. But that doesn't really mean very much. As I've understood it most of the people who played for the Swedish team hadn't played for the national squad before. Also the Swedish Elite League is in play-off mode and to be honest I kinda doubt many of the better players would be interested in playing against Hungary. At least two teams? Well I'd give them a few more. But overall I'm not gonna take anything away from Hungary and I think it means a great deal for them to beat a perennial top team like Sweden. But I doubt it'll have any lasting impact. Europe = soccer land.

Made me crack up really bad when I saw the highlights. Couldn't help myself. Within a year Sweden win the Olympics, world championships and....*TADAAA* lose to Hungary. I think out of the three, the Hungary-loss is more spectacular.
