Before looking a bit into contract specifications I thought the NHL would've accepted it. But after a closer peek that move is obvious. But there'll be a new deal out soon but one with a much higher cap hit.

Not surprised by this, a blossoming entertainer with proper hockey creds and with a great sense of humour. Gonna be good next season.

Oh I used to collect them properly. Had a really nice Fedorov collection - probably at least 50ish different ones. Actually they should still be around. I have no idea where anymore though. Should probably try to find them.

Certainly. But given that they've let those contracts slide it would have to take quite a push for the brass to step in, e.g. signing Doughty to a 25 year contract or something. Besides, my main reason for replying was to post the video under a thin veil (very thin) of promoting discussion.

And I'm guessing Zherdev is supposed to solve the goalscoring issues that might come up. We'll see if that pans out, he's got more to prove than Hudler.

It always comes down to the injury factor with Gagne. No doubt that he's a great goalscorer and it'll be fun to see what he can accomplish with a guy like Stamkos. Or better yet he'll manage to "revive" Lecav's career a little bit. He's only signed for the next season so I hope that Stevie didn't send too much to Philly.

Finally. This Kovie thing got to the point where I really didn't care where he signed as long as he did sign before I became old and gray.

One more season with the Griffins will do him a lot of good. Detroit does not have a history of rushing players and they don't have any need to start doing so this season.

Yes because no one ever got injured from a random hit/fall. Oh wait, that happens all the time. Some people are just unlucky. And in this case it was also incredibly unnecessary.

It all depends on how this season goes for Osgood. If he can lighten the load for Howard successfully then I don't see why Osgood can't be resigned for one more season. Otherwise it's probably time for another FA signing. Don't really see the Red Wings trusting goal-tending duties to two youngsters. Maybe time to bring Conks back one more season. I think he's available after the next season.

... If you really think that Lebron will not be a major factor in any championship Miami may win then good for you. Any title he would've won with Cleveland would've been rated much higher but why risk it? The fact that he pissed on Cleveland and set the place on fire as he left doesn't make his reason for leaving any less relevant. You may dislike him for it but if he wants to win going to Miami makes sense. -
