All fans of any team can be arrogant (yes even Wings fans, and i love the Red Wings). And they have a certain person hired by JLA to throw octopus onto the ice. And if they don't end up throwing it they immediately throw it into the Detroit River for fish or whatever to eat so it doesn't go to waste. On detroitredwings.com under legend of the octopus they explain this and i think they said something about it on an episode of Red Wings' Weekly. Last night at the game, the announcers on FSN Detroit said that throwing catfish is a symbol of good luck. I dont like the Preds anymore than any other Wings fan but just let them start their own traditions. The more other fans complain about it the more they will throw them. So just let it go.

yeah i saw that he didnt fight when (i dont remember the name) wanted to last night against Nashville. i thought it was strange. but i would rather him not fight so the other team wont have a power play.

I don't know how much this will help cause i dont remember everything but... My name is Alex I had just turned 5 years old when the Wings won the cup in 1997. I watched it at home with my family. When the Wings won i heard yelling in all the houses around us (i lived in a suburb of Detroit at the time). I can still picture Yzerman jumping on Vernon to this day. And when Stevie took the cup that was the first time i had ever seen my dad cry. and he isnt the kind of man that cries. Me and my brother were jumping up and down screaming "They won! They won!" That was my very first memory of my life. And because of that game i'm still a die-hard Red Wings fan to this day. Okay that sounds kind of lame.

In an interview with Cheli on Red Wings Weekly he said that he had lost his sister to cancer. but i dont remember what kind. it very well could have been breast cancer. i think that the NHL players are setting a good example for present, and future athletes.

same here. The only guy i know that is as much of a Red Wings fan as i has the same name as me. and i just cant do that.

if Datsyuk wouldn't have been there to help Samuelsson wouldn't have scored. That's the way i saw it.

it does matter if a player can score goals. but there also has to be someone to set up plays. or hardly anybody will be scoring at all. the attempted check was a hilarious though.

i still like how at the All-Stars Skills Competition he was like im really fast and then came in last place for speed skating. Oh and how he got a Family Size bag of potato chips. that was pretty funny.

The lineups are in the first post. I hope we dont go into overtime 3 of the past 5 games the Wings have lost 3-4 in either overtime or a shootout.

Watching the game tomorrow will be depressing. But i will watch it anyways. All we can do is hope for the remaining players to play well and hope Ozzie is having a good day.

Tomas Holmstrom. Fans dont give him enough credit. Without him all those shots by Datsyuk and Zetterberg wouldnt have gone in. At practice he stands in front of the goal and lets his teammates shoot pucks at him. It take a tough player to do that.
