Adding to what others have said: Sign him up and ship him out if it doesn't work. Obviously there's nothing we can do on the backend, so concentrate on offense, Puck possession in the offensive zone, and grinding hockey in our own. Hell, even if everything said about him is true - he's still at least 60 points, quick, another target for oppositions shutdown pairing, and hard to take the Puck from.

Nicely written, unfortunately Ericcson only answers doorbells. In all seriousness though, I think the best we can expect from E is he becomes a premier shut down defenseman. He will never quarterback a PP or put up 80 pts. I think his emergence coupled with Smiths will be Lidstoms replacement, but Smith has a bit to go.

The KHL is bidding for him too. I doubt Holland will want to give him the term he's seeking, nor should he. If w could bring in Semin on a 1-2, possibly even a 3 year deal, I'd do it - but I honestly think he's looking for looong term.

Maybe Suter slept with Parise's sister or something and he's trying to get him to commit to Wild first and then bailing off to Pittsburgh. Would certainly explain all.the back and forth.
