Blake has a big nose and looks French. He is not European or small so he is not allowed on our team.

Longest national anthem... ever.

I was watching a classic NHL game on NHL Network the other day. It was the Caps when he was still with them vs the Rangers (if I recall correctly). I do recall correctly that he had one horrible turnover at his own blue line that resulted in an easy goal for the other team. It brought back many memories and refreshed my faith that Bobby Lang not being a Red Wing can only benefit the Wings in the long run.

That's my area code. The number was said to be a reference to the emperor Nero as Revelation was written during his rule by a monk in exile.

Detroit won their game in a shootout, beating the Washington Capitals with a final score of 4-3; while LA lost their game to Colorado at Staples Center in LA for a final score of 4-2. You can see highlights of both games HERE for DET and HERE for LA. GAME PREVIEW BY STATS LLC One of the league's elite teams for the past decade, the Detroit Red Wings have gotten the best of most opponents during that span. Facing the Los Angeles Kings, though, has proven to be a particularly favorable matchup. Opposite ends of the NHL standings will be on display Wednesday night at Joe Louis Arena as the league-best Red Wings look to continue their dominance of the struggling Kings. Detroit (24-6-3) is proving to be the NHL's most dominant team yet again, currently leading the league with 24 wins and 51 points. The club is 9-0-1 in its last 10 games. The Red Wings won the Presidents' Trophy as the league's top regular-season team in 2003-04 and again in 2005-06 before finishing tied with Buffalo in 2006-07. The Sabres, though, were awarded the honor by virtue of more wins. Los Angeles (12-20-2) is last in the NHL with 26 points, has lost four straight overall and now must visit the Red Wings, who have won 14 of the last 15 meetings between the teams. The Kings are 0-7-3 with one tie in Detroit since a 3-2 victory on Feb. 18, 2000. Pavel Datsyuk, Henrik Zetterberg and Jiri Hudler scored shootout goals as the Red Wings continued their red-hot play Monday with a 4-3 victory over visiting Washington. "It was a tough game for us," Red Wings coach Mike Babcock told the team's official Web site. "I don't think we were as sharp at the start, but I was impressed with their team. I didn't think we were fluid, but in saying that I thought we had guys play real hard." Tomas Holmstrom, second on the team with 16 goals, returned after missing the previous two games with a knee injury. His first goal came on the power play, giving Detroit at least one man-advantage goal in 13 of the last 14 games. Zetterberg, among the NHL leaders with 47 points, has seven goals and five assists during a six-game home point streak. * * * * * * * MORE TO COME AS MORE BECOMES AVAILABLE

There's a pic on Yahoo's NHL page of Sidney Crosby in a fight According to the caption this happened tonight! Note Crosby still has gloves on and neother player removed their helmets with shields. He DID, however, get 5 for fighting. WTF

Thanks for the nod. Really didn't have time to do it today so it is nice that someone else took it up. I will try to get the one up for Saturday's game. 4-3 Wings. Hudler, Zetts, Rafalski, Drake

Wow Huddles! This game is starting with a bang (or 2)

I have Comcast and it is on FSN-Det. I also have Centre Ice and the NHL Network. As it is almost impossible for me to look up the TV listings for every market, I would suggest that you look it up yourself. Not trying to be a dick, but I have limited time to do this (hence why it was put up at about 8:00 PM last night) and whatever information I can grab to put it together will be posted. I will post whatever TV information that is posted about it in the major previews. I can not possibly take care of every market in the US/Canada/Finland/AUS etc.

Dom because Babs says he goes. Osgood in for STL, which considering it was his former team, makes sense. GDT is here early because there were like 3 threads asking where the GD GDT was for last game. Just thought I would beat the rush. Incidentally this is the third GDT I have done. We've won them both so let's keep my streak alive!

VS Detroit Red Wings (23-6-3) - Washington Capitals (13-18-2) 7:00 PM EST Joe Louis Arena, Detroit MI Click HERE for the NHL.com Preview Last game video: Capitals-Lightning and Detroit-Florida Team Leaders WAS Goals Alex Ovechkin 23 Assists Michael Nylander 20 Points Alex Ovechkin 38 Plus/Minus Alex Ovechkin 7 PP Goals Alex Ovechkin 10 Wins Olaf Kolzig 10 GAA Brent Johnson 2.78 Save PCT Brent Johnson .902 DET Goals Henrik Zetterberg 23 Assists Pavel Datsyuk 25 Points Henrik Zetterberg 45 Plus/Minus Nicklas Lidstrom 17 PP Goals Henrik Zetterberg 9 Wins Chris Osgood 15 GAA Chris Osgood 1.76 Save PCT Chris Osgood .929 Background The Capitals have won five of their past seven and are 7-4-1 since replacing coach and former Wing Glen Hanlon with Bruce Boudreau. Swedish phenom Nicklas Backstrom ranks third on the team and third among NHL rookies with 21 points. The snowstorm didn't have any effect on preparations for the Wings, who had a regularly scheduled day off Sunday. Tomas Holmstrom (knee) said Saturday he was optimistic he'd play against the Capitals. While Holmstrom could be ready soon, Kris Draper (knee) could return later in the week. Kirk Maltby (back) continues to be out indefinitely. Former Wings prospect Tomas Fleischmann is finding a home in Washington. The Wings traded the young center, along with draft picks, for Robert Lang in 2004. He has five goals and five assists in 30 games Tomas Holmstrom said after the morning skate today that he'd be in tonight when the Red Wings host Washington. Holmstrom has missed two games because of a sore knee.Kris Draper, out since Nov. 27 with a sprained knee, had another good practice, and could go tonight if needed. But since the Wings have points in nine straight games, there's no hurry, so Mike Babcock said Draper would be back Wednesday or Thursday. That should still allow him to get into two games before the Christmas break. It does not look like Kirk Maltby, out since Nov. 27 with a sore back, will return before the break. He hasn't skated since a brief experiment Dec. 3, so is still at least a week away. Other stats: Valteri Filpulla has scored 2 goals on penalty shots in the past 3 games. The last game vs Florida featured the first -ever Red Wings game in which they received 2 penalty shots! Flip was successful while Pavel was unable to bury the puck in the 5-2 victory for the Wings. LET'S GO RED WINGS!!

Everyone says that Hudler's skating has improved dramatically. I would place my bet on him if its a Red Wing, not Dats.

Yahoo one only updates every 30 seconds or so. This one is a Java applet that runs near realt time.
