Why does Cleveland have a team named the Lake Erie Monsters? Same reason for the Toledo Walleye. Goofy name. Gets people attention right away. Plus, minor league teams should never be serious. Look at the Toledo Mud Hens. Their name is just as goofy.

Thats what I'm worried about. I want more people to respect hockey as a sport because I love hockey. I want more people to watch hockey so they can understand why hockey is the greatest game on earth. But with the NHL all over the Penguins, its never going to happen.

The only fans that are enjoying this is Detroit fans, which I am! (I'm not sure how may times I have to state this) What about the Pens fans? Can they give us a valid excuse as to why they aren't winning besides the same BS I keep seeing?

Just for the record I am a Wings fan. But that doesn't mean I can't hope for an interesting playoffs. Sure I hope the Wings sweep but with two shutouts? Maybe more if the Pens can't find offense. This is unreal. It's like the Pens are handing us the Cup on a silver plater. Which I don't mind at all but I'm also a fan of the game of hockey and what the Pens are contributing to the series isn't NHL hockey. The Wings are just completely dominating them. Where did this so called Offense and Defense from the Pens go? Was it all just hype because they haven't faced anyone good or can they not get past the impenetrable wall that is Osgood or shut down the Euro Twins? I thought this was supposed to be a battle of Super teams. East vs West. But right now its just West. What happend? Did the Penguins give up long before they started Game 1 knowing they would face Detroit? Or are they a little bit nervous because for a lot of them this is their first Stanley Cup? What I'm saying is. Pens need to change the way they are playing right now or I can never take them seriously again or their bandwagon fans.

Honestly, I expect Hudler, Drake, Draper, Homer, and Filp/Helm to step up their game. Hudler has really started to prove himself in the playoffs. Drake is playing amazing hockey right now along with Draper. Its been awhile since Homer has done something spectacular, so he should be stepping up. And I say Filp or Helm because they both have scored and both of them have potential to do something great but something is stopping them. I expect the SCF will take care of that road block.
