Malkin to Montreal?

Just read this on Eklunds site..if you scroll down a bit and get to Kevin Gibson's blog there is rumor of Malkin to Montreal for Ryder, Ribeiro, Souray, Aebischer and a 1st rounder!!

Pitts has been salivating for this kid. For all we know they are the reason he's gone missing from finland.

And that is a crapload to give up in order to recieve one unproven (in the NHL) player.

I just hope the pens dont pull another crosby. That kid was touted as the best there will be, but he was outshined by Ovechkin. All I saw from Crosby was a player who got over inflated about who he was and started (I believe he was trying to fire up his team) but came across as a brat know-it-all telling his teammates what to do.

I didnt know much about Ovechkin till the Olympics and he played with Pavel, but damn I like the kid. How could you not?

Crosby, from what i've read, played on really good teams much of his junior career and such. He was called the next coming of the great one very unfairly in my opinion. Wayne played for a decked out Edmonton Oilers team where as Crosby plays for a team that cant secure good free agents or develop talent very well. If Crosby stays with the penguins for much of his career he wont be the superstar hes expected to be and will be outshined by Ovechkin for what might become a good capitals team (although the Penguins have the edge in incoming talent).

As for this rumor, i dont believe it, no matter what i doubt Montreal would trade this much and Pitsburgh wouldnt give up the final piece of its possibly fearsome first line.

Ok...I seen this rumor. It started off in Toronto and Montreal a day and a half before Malkin showed up in L.A. Ray Shero showed up on T.V in Toronto and Montreal at a sporting event w/ Malkin Ovechkin (who is having Malkin live with him) and Gonchar. The T.V reporter ask Shero what is he doing in Toronto and Montreal, and Shero responded by saying he is town working on a major trade with Montreal. He didn't say trading Malkin, he just said he was working on a major trade.

Remember the Nordiques/ Flyers trade with Lindros? this sounds alot like that trade, If I were Pitsburg I'd do in in a heartbeat
