yzerman&thewings=CUP 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2007 I just received a potentially exciting e-mail today. Peter Karmanos, known to be the owner of the Canes and Mr. Ilitch's enemy (Im not sure if this is true or not) is coming to speak at the law school I attend to discuss some legal stuff. Normally, I wouldn't be interested in this. But I think I am still going to go anyways, its not going to be a big thing, only 30 or so people. Do you think he would field hockey related questions? I so desperately want to ask him about his relationship with Mike Ilitch.
TheLegend19 1 Report post Posted March 20, 2007 I am sure he will field hockey related questions. I am not sure, however, that it would be appropriate to question his relationship with Mr. I.
BlakChamber 8 Report post Posted March 20, 2007 When I took my sports law class, we got to talk to Ernie Harwell and Mickey Redmond. I'd ask him something along the lines of what he thinks hockey needs to do to market itself and be a major sport again.

Its kind of ironic, all the questions I want to ask him are the ones I shouldn't ask. I also want to ask him why he moved out of Hartford when he promised not to, even though attendance was high. I know thats inappropriate, but there had to be a reasonable explanation of why. But I am kind of excited because he will give us some personal information of the business of Detroit, which I find really interesting.
