Matt 1,049 Report post Posted May 19, 2007 Al Strachan is an assclown but on this subject he's bang on. While Giggy's equipment is legal in the NHL sense it's still rediculous. Look at how badly he's played in this series. Every single save he makes is with his belly. He hardly ever makes andy dramatic kick saves and his blocker and trapper are basically on vacation. If it weren't for his bloated equipment he'd be pumping my gas every week. While he does look bloated under his chest equipment, it isn't that that is making those saves... When it hits the logo that's solid positioning -- and that's been the case 99% of the time. The bloated pads excuse just looks like sour grapes. He's playing with it -- it's legal -- and it should be left at that.
