eva unit zero 271 Report post Posted September 18, 2007 The way I see it Lebda has as good - if not a better chance @ securing a #4 Dman spot on the roster as Kronwall (due to his numerous injuries, & somewhat inconsistent play). Given that Kronwall is our #3 (and was last season, too) that seems a bit silly to say in support of Lebda. Lebda has an equal chance of moving up to the #4 slot as Kronwall does of moving down to it!!
BringHomeTheCup! 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2007 Nik is. Those stats don't really say much, IMO. Here is what those stats show. With nearly the same number of games played, and much less PT, Lebda has put up nearly identical numbers. Keep in mind that Kronwall also is playing with better players (typically the 1st and 2nd line forwards, and on a PP unit) while Lebda is pretty much just a even strength guy. I'm not saying that Lebda is far and away better than Kronwall. Or even that he has more potential. I'm just putting it in black and white. Regardless of opinion here, there really isn't much difference between Lebda and Kronwall. Oh, except for the lack of consistent injury problems on Lebda's part. Hiei 192 Report post Posted September 18, 2007 I personally want to throw this one out to you: Lebda and Quincey pairing. Lebda is a sure-handed offensive defenceman with great puckhandling ability, and will join the rush. Quincey is a smart defensive defenceman with an eye for opposition plays, which will only improve with ice time experience.

You can't put that pair at number 3 because you'd have to move Cheli to the 2nd pair, which won't happen.

Agreed, but has possibilities on nights Chelios is resting... or now in the preseason for that matter
