Control of prospects

Just one thing i'm wondering seeing the current movement of wings prospects - no talking GR here but elsewhere..

now back in Sweden we see Dick Axelsson playing good minutes for a top tier team in Djurgarden, and that happens to be the team Ryno joins on his return. Daniel Larsson is also playing for them..

but i'm mainly meaning the OHL.

in the last week two high rated signed Detroit prospects have been traded from poor teams to strong title contenders.

Cory Emmerton from Kingston to Brampton and now Jan Mursak from Saginaw to Belleville. While obviously this has decided advantages for the OHL teams for whatever reason, do the Wings have any say in this, since they're signed prospects? They've both gone from last place teams to contending teams, which i think can only help their development.

Or do the Wings have no input?

In this case, where they only own the rights and the player is not actually signed to a contract - No, they have no say.

Now, if a player is signed to an actual contract, the Wings have final say (unless the guy has an out clause) such as in Grigorenko and Ryno's case - If the Wings felt Ryno was better in GR, he would've had to contractually stay in GR, Grigs had an out clause however, which is what allowed him to jet
