Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted March 5, 2008 (edited) The Leafs are the dumbest team around. They should be tanking these games to get a better shot at landing Stamkos. Screw pride; when it comes to the long term situation being better, you have to suck now. It's not a given that they'd get the #1 overall and draft Stamkos, but there are still a ton of other good prospects that they could get in the top five, regardless if they don't get the #1 overall pick. That team will never go anywhere for a long time... and you can thank that to the inept management that gave useless scrubs like Bryan McCabe, Darcy Tucker, and the LGW.com ideal trade deadline acquisition, Pavel Kubina, long term contracts with no-trade clauses, making them all unmoveable dead-weight salaries that'll be there clogging up the roster for years and years to come.
