Any team that has tried to coast in or rest their way into the playoffs has done poorly. If you are worried or nervous about playing any team to the point where you want to start stacking the deck, then perhaps you need to sit on your mama's lap, have her hold you close to her life giving teats and whisper to you that it will all be okay.

I think I'd rather play the Avs in round 1. I think there's enough respect for the Avs that the wings won't come out in a slump like they do EVERY SINGLE YEAR IN THE FIRST ROUND. Nashville is good enough to beat you if you fall asleep on them, which is easy to do. I definitely think the Preds will beat up whomever they play against, which definitely sucks.

I just can't wait to see the Dallas/Anaheim series. That should be good, although I have zero faith in Turco. We'll run into SJ at some point this year...

Not that I'm picking my poison, but if I had my chance to pick who the Wings would play in the first round, Nashville would probably be my number 1 choice. It's teams like Luongo (not misstated...the Canucks don't scare me, Luongo does) or the Flames that worry me simply based on their goaltending. The Wings showed a ton of character last year beating Kippur who still played brilliantly, but the Wings have struggled against solid goaltending both in the playoffs and the regular season. Regardless of up-front talent, I'd like to play a team that doesn't have an intimidating goalie (I.E. Nashville, Colorado).

Of the teams that the Wings will realistically play, my order from what I feel would be the best situation for the Wings to the worst would look like this:

1. Nashville

2. Colorado

3. Vancouver

4. Calgary

I'd like to see Nashville in the first round so that I can make it to at least playoff game.

I was there the last time we played them in a playoff game. Only Wings playoff game I've ever been to.

Now we are lined up to face Nashville and are coming off an OT loss, we need to beat Nashville and play them like it is the first game of the first round.

Everyone knows what team I hate the most.... Go get em eh!
