40#1Fan 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2008 http://redwingscorner.blogspot.com/ From the morning skate in Chicago, Tomas Holmstrom is skating and Henrik Zetterberg is not on the ice. It looks like Homer might be ready to go with Z being given the night off.

Redwingsfan18 1 Report post Posted April 2, 2008 Yeah, Z's probably just fine - but with his history of back issues, why not give him a night off. Let Mac play!
lfd250 1 Report post Posted April 2, 2008 We have nothing left to prove in the Regular season. One point in the next three games and we win the PT. It's time for rest.

Z wasn't at the morning skate last Friday and he played that night, neither was Datsyuk.
datsyukismyfriend 4 Report post Posted April 2, 2008 http://redwingscorner.blogspot.com/ looks like macleod changed his mind. "Scratch that last post by me. Tomas Holmstrom (abdomen) isn't going to play tonight and likely won't play tomorrow night in Detroit either. Coach Mike Babcock said that the team is still, however, counting on Homer being ready for the start of the playoffs. Zetterberg is fine. He and Babcock were the only two to take the morning skate off, which was listed as optional. Mikael Samuelsson (groin) skated early, but did not practice. Brad Stuart (broken finger) practiced. Babcock said that Stuart will definitely be ready to play the first game of the post-season."

pjgj13 30 Report post Posted April 2, 2008 We have nothing left to prove in the Regular season. One point in the next three games and we win the PT. It's time for rest. That's what we were thinking back in Feb when they won 8 straight and played LA and TOR and lost both of them and most of the games in Feb. Hopefully they can win the last 3 and get to 117 points and as a team win the Jennings Trophy. The only way they WON'T win the Jennings is if SJ allows 10 or so more goal less than the Wings allow. Unsure of the shootout loss totals of the 2 teams.
