Saw this posted elsewhere and thought it was interesting regarding the Bruins-Habs series.

Boston 03-04 Montreal 07-08. Playoff Parallels

In 03-04 The Bruins were the best team in the Northeast

This year, The Canadiens were the best team in the Northeast

In 03-04 Boston was led by rookie goaltender Andrew Raycroft

This year, Montreal is led by rookie goaltender Carey Price

In 03-04 Boston won Game 1 by a 3 goal differential.

This year, Montreal won Game 1 4-1

In 03-04 Boston won Game 2 in overtime.

This year, Montreal won Game 2 in overtime

In 03-04 & 07-08 both Game 3's were decided by one goal with both underdogs winning to make the series 2-1.

In 03-04 Boston wins Game 4 by 1 goal to take a 3-1 series lead

This year, Montreal wins Game 4 by 1 goal to take a 3-1 series lead

In 03-04 just when many thought the series was over, Montreal won Game 5 5-1. Andrew Raycroft played poorly.

This year, Boston won Game 5 5-1 and Carey Price played poorly.

In 03-04 Montreal came up with another 5 goal performance in Game 6

This year, Boston did the same.

In 03-04 Montreal won Game 7 2-0 on the road?

This year ?????

I'm surprised at the amount of people who want to face the Dives. As much as we dominated them in the regular season, Theodore is a completely different goalie, and they are actually completely healthy. I don't think it would be as easy of a series as people are making it out to be. Definitely would go 6 games at least.

I'm not really sure if I would rather play Theodore as opposed to Kiprusoff at this point.

Avs advance to Round 2.

Ahh this makes the Wings game so much more exciting for tomorrow. There's nothing I'd rather see more than a Wings/Avs match up. IF the Wings win and if the Flames lose. *crosses fingers*

I don't think anyone's claimed this would be an easy series. Potentially the easiest second round opponent, but not easy. There's a difference.
