Third Man In 2,091 Report post Posted April 20, 2008 Shots are 8-4 Avs this period. Minny doesn't look like a team fighting for their lives. I expected more from them tonight.

Third Man In 2,091 Report post Posted April 20, 2008 Damn. The Avs look scary good. I think it's more that the Wild look massively disorganized.

Third Man In 2,091 Report post Posted April 20, 2008 The Wild are the first team in the West to go home. Well, if the Avs are gonna win this series, we might as well be treated to Wings-Avs in the second round (now just take care of business tomorrow boys!). HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted April 20, 2008 Avs advance to Round 2. Ahh this makes the Wings game so much more exciting for tomorrow. There's nothing I'd rather see more than a Wings/Avs match up. IF the Wings win and if the Flames lose. *crosses fingers*
edicius 3,269 Report post Posted April 20, 2008 Wow, Gaborik only had a single point in the six-game series? Ouch.

Ontario Wingsfan 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2008 Saw this posted elsewhere and thought it was interesting regarding the Bruins-Habs series. Boston 03-04 Montreal 07-08. WhiteLightning91 105 Report post Posted April 20, 2008 (edited) I'm surprised at the amount of people who want to face the Dives. As much as we dominated them in the regular season, Theodore is a completely different goalie, and they are actually completely healthy. I don't think it would be as easy of a series as people are making it out to be. Definitely would go 6 games at least. I'm not really sure if I would rather play Theodore as opposed to Kiprusoff at this point. Edited April 20, 2008 by WhiteLightning91
BlueMonk 102 Report post Posted April 20, 2008 Wow, that's a lot of parallels! I definitely thought there seemed to be some similarities, the most obvious being 3-1 series leads for the "favorite." But that's a lot of stuff there.

Potentially the easiest second round opponent, but not easy. There's a difference.
HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted April 20, 2008 I don't think the Avs would be easy to face either. I just know it would be a great, hard fought, damn exciting series and I want the rivarly back.
