I know I don't deserve to celebrate this series victory, but I am raising a glass of Bombay Sapphire gin and tonic to all of you TRUE believers.

Great win, great series...

I dunno - Detroit is yet to achieve anything. Hence, their lack of celebration.

Well, they achieved something Nashville didn't. Of course its not the end goal, but there's no reason not to throw a quick congrats to the Wings. They turned the series around when they needed to.

Hey, Zion, you made a mistake, but you've really owned to it

I've said this before: This Team that was born in 2007 is not Yzermans' team. They have nothing to celebrate yet. People are wrongly associating them with Yzerman's team. This team hasn't faltered in the playoffs until the Conference Finals last year. They haven't been stopped by a hot goalie, defeating Kipper, Nabakov, and Ellis and nearly beating Giguere.

This team knows, even if the media doesn't, that they are expected to go much farther.

But it's still awesome. On to the next round!

It's definitely good to see that we found a way to win against a hot goalie and that we in turn were able to ice a goalie who kept it shut even tighter. That's big. I think they'll keep this momentum going and bring a better game to round 2.

Awesome we've achieved more than Nashville. Bring on the ticker tape parade.

The Wings have done okay but how much celebrating do you think Mike Babcock's doing?

C'mon, Doggy. Nobody's satisfied with just getting past the first round. But I think everyone--Babcock included--can enjoy for today getting through to the second!

Sorry I don't want to be negative. I'm pleased we're through and I like this clubs chances but I can't get too excited about getting through the first round. As far as I'm concerned it's just not an achievement.

I must say that I am releaved!! I live here in Tennessee, and I would have to move if we didn't win this series!! Nashville played their asses off (sorry Matt), and they should be congratulated too, but however we showed that Defense wins in the playoffs, and yes NO INJURIES!!! Heres to scoring more goals in round 2!!!! We to go boys!! NEXT!!!!

Most important thing about closing out the series today; NO INJURIES!

Rest up, boys. I bet Babs will give them the day off tomorrow and they will be back at it Tuesday.

Bring on the Flames/Dives!

QFT.

Props to Ellis, but the Wings really did what they needed to do. Excellent work. I'm having a big dinner and going to watch the next to games and go to work tired/hopefully hungover/very excited in the morning!

They made it to the second round, they have no new injuries. They did it in six games and they posted a shutout while only allowing 1 goal in the final 8 periods (great momentum). We also achieved more than 22 other teams have this year. We got goals from ten different players with multiple goals from 6 of those players. We got 5 points in six games from Datsyuk, Hudler, and Kronvall and a point from all but 4 players. Granted they have a long way to go and lots of hard in order to reach the ultimate prize but there is nothing with a contgrats for accomplishing what 73% of the other teams couldn't.

WAY TO GO BOYS KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!!!!!:thumbup::thumbup:

93% of 30 teams are unable to make it to the final 8?
