OsGOD 3 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 It was my dad's first time at a Round 2 (2nd ever playoff game... 1st being last round lol) He always bought our Wings/Avs regular season games because he like the "rivalry" so I convinced him he had to go to round 2 to see the avs/wings in a playoff game... basic it was round 1 BAAAAAAMMMMM kicked up about 30 notches. It wasn't even after a lost game either.....it was simply after the Avs scored the first goal of the game to make it 1-0 with ONLY 49 minutes left in regulation! Third Man In 2,091 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 I hope we don't burn out Datsyuk and Zetterberg though because they play a ton of minutes tonight. I was disappointed Helm and McCarty played so little because IMO they provided a lot of spark when on. They might have been on the ice when the Avs scored the first goal but again they looked good together and provided a few scoring chances. I felt the same way.One of my few complaints about Babcock is that he seems more hesitant to roll 4 lines than Scotty. On one hand, the fourth line isn't as deep as it was a few years ago. But you always read Babcock in the papers wondering aloud why he doesn't play the fourth line more. The playoffs are a long grind, and you need everyone to play. I thought they should have especially played more when the game was 4-1. The third and fourth lines are less likely to let up in that situation because they crave the ice time. ZDH spent a lot of the second half (until the 16:00 mark of the 3rd) skating around in their own end. him and Zion both huh? dont be so quick to just exterminate the Wings. they won the game, celebrate! So Gangster....and Classic! haha I think the old cooper helmet is even more classic. Sure it says Nike/Bauer on there but it's a f***in cooper without question. Yak19 303 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 3 goal lead is the most dangerous lead in hockey, that is why the Avs got 2 back, we let up its hard to keep up that kind of intensity when you look at the scoreboard and have a comfortable lead, if it stayed 3-1 we would've kept pressuring and it would've ended 5-1 or 5-2.
