Wings' Filppula OK to play tonight http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/artic.../805080477/1361 Red Wings center Valtteri Filppula, who missed two days of practice this week with a leg injury, will play tonight in Game 1 of the Western Conference finals. At his Thursday morning press conference, coach Mike Babcock confirmed Filppula will be in the lineup against the Dallas Stars. Filppula, averaging better than 15 minutes a game thus far in the playoffs, fell awkwardly late in Game 4 of the conference semifinals against Colorado. He then was held out of the Wings' first two practices this week as a precaution, before returning to the ice Wednesday. "I skated yesterday and it felt good, and I skated again today and it felt good again, so I'm ready," said Filppula, who along with Pavel Datsyuk led the Wings in scoring (one goal, four assists) against Dallas in the regular season. "There shouldn't be any (concerns). It should be fine now. "We kind of took it easy just to be sure. But I was pretty confident that I was going to play today."
