YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted July 8, 2008 TBH, I'm not sure. Why does NHLScap.com have performance bonuses listed through 10/11 if they aren't allowed to do so? Im not sure what youre talking about here. Where does NHLscap list them?

redwinger4747 6 Report post Posted July 8, 2008 Bobby Ryan's numbers aren't included because they are a potential performance bonus. So we're only talking about his salary and his bonuses and being the difference right? In that case, its a complete mystery how much of that goes on the cap because Ryan can still be sent down to the AHL. So right now, the Ducks are somewhere BETWEEN 57.2 and 59.1, thats how I'd put it.

I know that, but my point is why are some extended into the 10/11 season when there is no guarantee the current CBA will extend that long?

The point is, yesterday the Ducks when signing Morrison were between $57.2 and $59.1 with the *ability* to drop that number down to within $500,000 of the Cap. I probably should've made that more clear.

I am pretty sure that if current CBA will not be extended into the 10/11 season, the site owner will update the info. btw it's very likely that Bobby Ryan will play, Ducks need every decent wingers they can find. I think Burkie is gonna trade someone for sure.
NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted July 9, 2008 I am pretty sure that if current CBA will not be extended into the 10/11 season, the site owner will update the info. The problem with that though, is the current CBA may not be extended until well in to the season....if not after the season concludes. btw it's very likely that Bobby Ryan will play, Ducks need every decent wingers they can find. I think Burkie is gonna trade someone for sure. While I agree that Ryan *should* play, it doesn't mean he will. The Ducks are up against their backs and losing his salary by dropping him down might end up being the easy route they take. A little off topic, but what they should be doing is moving Schneider.
