I'm to the point of giving up on Hudler. Stupid penalties in the finals, very slow skater, defensive liability, and has gotten demoted from Z's line to the third line. There's no way he should be taking a roster spot from Helm, imo.

NO. If it were me, I would have picked him to go as well. This should be a good lesson to the guys in GR or in the bottom defensive pairings, is if you dont work hard and improve your game regularly, you will not last in this organization.

I heard that the only reason it was Quincey was because Meech can play both forward and defenseman. Oh yeah by the way, here's the report from Quinceys first game in LA... quoted from the Free Press..

Meech won a battle with Kyle Quincey for the Red Wings' last roster spot on defense, but it was Quincey who played first this season.

Quincey, picked up off waivers by the Los Angeles Kings, made his debut Friday in a 4-3 overtime victory over the Carolina Hurricanes. He assisted on the tying goal that forced overtime, made three hits and blocked two shots in 21:43.
