All he's doing is showing that he was full of crap when he had said that he wanted to be with a team for the whole ride and not as an afterthought. Defense could be a little more stingy, especially with Niedermayer and Pronger back there but otherwise they look tough. Nice fight by Montador last night who really has no business trading punches with Cam Janssen. He hung in there and did well though. I was looking at their roster and was amazed at how many players they have that can drop their gloves and fight if need be: 1. George Parros 2. Brad May 3. Brian Sutherby 4. Travis Moen 5. Ryan Getzlaf 6. Correy Perry 7. Steve Montador 8. Nathan McIver 9. Chris Pronger 10. Francois Beuchemin Heck, even Kent Huskins and Ryan Carter have fighting majors this year. That's impressive when 3/4ths of your team can actually fight. And this is not to say anything about fighting is good or bad or wins you games or that the Ducks are better than the Wings. Then they go on to say Johnsson not fighting May was a cowardly move?? I get the sarcasm with the Huskins comment. I agree with your point about hypocrisy of the announcers in that instance. That event is one of the reasons May has been one of the dirtiest punks in the league for more than a decade. And Huskins can take care of himself as he's proven a couple of times against guys like Ryan Clowe, Derek Dorsett, Chris Thorburn. But most announcers are complete homers anyway. Even if they both went to Toronto next year, I doubt they win the Cup. I''m not attacking you Eva, it just seems that there are a lot of people saying the same thing. Whatever happened to Mats wanting be part of a team the whole year? He makes no sense to me. Joining a team in Decemeber or Jan. doesn't fit that bill. And if Burke is settings things up for next year with Toronto, he deserves to be banned from the NHL for at least a couple of years. This IMO is cheating in the worst way. Understatement of the year. The Leafs even with Sundin will struggle to make the playoffs. They had Sundin last year and in fact he had a great year and still no playoffs. Burke would take 3-4 years to make the team respectable and that's if somebody before him help him out. Then he gets to the year where he has 15 UFA's and bails out....
