Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted December 2, 2008 (edited) Curtis Sanford, who had been starting in place of injured Bobby Luongo for Vancouver, left the Columbus game with back spasms, leaving rookie Cory Schneider to finish the game. Because we all know about back spasms (Hank and Homer), this could mean that Sanford might miss some time. This means that the Canucks goaltending comes down to Schneider and Karl Goehring until Luongo returns, which would put the Manitoba Moose in a tight situation. I wouldn't want to be the Canucks right now. Edited December 2, 2008 by Hockeytown0001

The Mule 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2008 The more injuries the rest of the Western Conference faces, the better things look for us.

miller76 463 Report post Posted December 4, 2008 Dang. How many goalies are out right now due to injury? Luongo, Sanford, DiPietro, Brodeur. Is Fleury still out? Nabokov, Vokoun, and Legace were hurt earlier on as well. Turco might as well be hurt, the way he is playing.

ComradeWasabi 109 Report post Posted December 4, 2008 Kari Lehtonen hasn't played since the end of October. He's not exactly a top-flight goaltender, but still, that counts as injured I think. Fleury is at least a week away from returning, Khabibulin is day-to-day with a lower body injury.
