Stevie Y Datsyuk 2 Report post Posted December 5, 2008 Dats, Z, Franzen, and Hossa combined for only 1 assist last night despite the team scoring 6 goals and dishing out 11 assists. It was great to see Cleary and Filppula get multi point efforts. Also, Hudler gets about half his points on the PP so 2 even strength goals in the 1st period had to give him a nice boost of confidence. I hope they can, because it's the last time we will see a team like this in quite a while. The amount of talent on the team, for the amount they are being paid is staggering. I know our defensive game/goaltending is down from what it was a year ago but we need to enjoy this year rather than criticize every little thing that goes wrong. We are still the defending champs. We still score goals. We still have the greatest fans. We still have PAVEL DATSYUK. PS: I went to the Wings/B's game in Boston on Saturday night and met some of the nicest people in the world. MaynardJKeenan 1 Report post Posted December 5, 2008 I hear the announcers talking about how great of chemisty Hossa and Dats have, but I just don't see it. It seems Hossa likes to control the puck, and create his own chances, which is great. I think the team would be better served with a 1st line of Homer(Cleary), Dats and Hand and a 2nd line with Franzen, Flip and Hossa. I would love for Babs to try those lines for a couple of weeks and see what happens. I know our O isn't struggling, but we need better chemistry and it doesn't get better than HZD.
