I bet he gets a little less consideration due to the fact he's not playing in the OHL, QMJHL or WHL. He's second on the Badgers in points as a defenseman and they play some of the best college teams so it seems like he's playing well. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
12Newf 0 Report post Posted December 17, 2008 i watched two of the exhibition games here in ottawa and smith was really outplayed. in the second game especially he was a turnover machine but thats not to say he sucks or anything, just that he needs more time to develop. the guy is a great skater and makes a good first pass so my assessment is he is the prototypical red wings defenseman.
