Ticket/Seating Question

Well, I'm looking to trek down to the D near the end of February to catch a couple of games. I've only been to the Joe once before, and I was sitting in the nose bleed section, so I'm kind of curious as to where the best place to watch the game would be from. Ticket cost is not a problem. I'm thinking anywhere near the blue line on the side where they shoot on the opposing goalie twice would be an ideal place to sit. If I'm thinking right, sections 109, 110, and 119, 120 are on that side where we shoot twice, right? Would there be any other good options? And is there such as thing as sitting TOO close to the glass? Thanks for the help.

Yup, I just Sat row 15 Section 121, it was Just inside the blue line, where the Wings shoot twice. Awesome Seats, Great for Seeing everything that's going on in the Offensive end in great detail, and high enough To see what's going on down at the other end of the rink too. Row 15 Was almost perfect, rpw 10 might be a bit too close....but IMO, 10-15 would be ideal.

I picked up 2 tickets for Face Value (80$) from scalpers about a half hour before game time...I lucked out, because one Scalper ran and got A clean, Middle Aged White Guy who was looking to unload 2 of his 4...the scalpers wanted me to pay 100 Each, but i asked the guy if he'd take face, and he did.....Sorry Scalpers.

They were saying those seast were going for about 120-150 each, so expect to pay that...I just got lucky....I walked around the Arena to see if any other scalpers had better seats, but those were the best ones that night.....Granted this was a saturday night, which means there are less tickets outside, and therefore More expensive.....If you go During the week, you should be able to talk them down to face or even lower.

Hope this helps. good Luck

I've been twice: the second time was Standing Room (which was brutal), but the first time were high Upper Bowl, behind the opposition goal. These were the best bad seats I've ever had at any game; most of your "head swivelling" is kept to a minimum. So anything lower would be even better. Good luck.

Ive been a few times and I like sitting in the center ice area. Ive also sat in H117 (its the handicap row with the padded folding chairs. Just above the glass. I liked them. They were 80 a seat and what was nice is that we moved the folding chairs down a little and had a little more room then normal. Also the bar is right there and our usher was cool and let me go to my set when the puck was in play.

Good luck and have a great time at the game. :)
