TCfan1340 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2009 Hank is the man. Great shift and nice pass on the SWG. His defense on those 5-on-3's in Game 7 was unbelievable. 14 points in 11 games. If I'm not mistaken he has atleast a point in every game so far except for one. I have no complaints whatsoever about Z, and he just seems to be getting better. I agree, I have no complaints about Hank's play at all, he is last person that I would worry about in the playoffs. But it seems like everybody is forgetting that it was Pavel who killed off most of those 5 on 3's. Hank was in the box for the first one, and on the second one he killed off most of the 4 on 3 and then Pavel came out to finish it and the 5 on 3.
YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted May 15, 2009 Zettereberg's number one assignment in this series wasn't to score goals. And yet he put up more points in this series than everyone sans Franzen, if I'm not mistaken. As a NON Red Wings fan said last night after the game "Franzen gets the goals, but Zetterberg is the Conn Smythe winner." That says it all right there. He comes up just as big as Mule does, at BOTH ends of the ice. His defensive work last night makes you wonder why HE isnt the one winning the Selkes each year. Motown4013 350 Report post Posted May 15, 2009 Man some of you so called "hockey" fans need to learn that point production does not equal a good player. Zetterberg played a GREAT GAME yesterday. Killed both 5 on 3s and the 4 on 3. Blocked shots, won the battles for the puck. Made good passes, setup the gaming goal by winning a battle in the corner. I could not ask for anything more. I am sick of hearing all this s*** about not producing. Please learn hockey before making stupid comments like the one above. Hockey is more then scoring points. Dats had a good series to, sure he did not score be he forced the ducks to watch him closely which made room for others to step up. Dats had enough scoring chances to make me happy, he is not able to put the puck in the net. That will come as long as he keeps playing like he is playing. Well said- Besides Ozzie, Hank WAS the best Wing last night....1 point, 2 points or NO points, he was incredible on both 5-3's. Good on ya Z!
