marcaractac 3,963 Report post Posted May 16, 2009 (edited) I was just wondering what some of the prices were for the tickets last year during the Stanley Cup Finals. I've doen some looking around and couldn't find a whole lot of good info. I was wondering because if they make the finals this year, I am planning on making a trip down to catch the potential game 5 and 7. I have never seen an NHL game live in my life, and figured if they go the distance again this year, it would be a good time to start, and I need to find out if I could afford to do it. Also, what hotel would any of you recommend to stay in while down there? And places to go before games, and stuff like that? ifonlyicouldskate 11 Report post Posted May 17, 2009 For game 1 of the SCF's last year I paid around $200 for tickets that are normaly $47 or $54 dollars in the regular season. It was row 17 or something like that on the goal end. Don't know if I can even swing that this year.
McCartyFanForLife 17 Report post Posted May 17, 2009 I got tickets from StubHub to game 5 of the SCF last year and paid $265 a piece for the last row in the arena. Well worth the money; ending to the game sucked, but the best game I've ever been too.
Vladiator 116 Report post Posted May 17, 2009 I got a pair in Section 101 row 10 for $200 a piece and 3 in section 103 row 18 for $200 a piece for Tuesdays game. Bought them through the Joe's box office and was only charged a $5 processing fee for the whole order. Ticketbastard will have the same base prices with their crap fees. If you go through StubHub wait until game day as the prices will come down.
marcaractac 3,963 Report post Posted May 17, 2009 This is good. It means I should be able to afford it. OF course it would be even better financially if the finals (assuming the Wings make it) did not go to a seventh game lol. So I guess my trip all comes down to how big my student loan is. Yay! Wubbie 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2009 This might help with hotels. There was a thread last week about them. If you find something not mentioned in this thread, come back to the board and ask about it. http://www.letsgowings.com/forums/index.ph...p;#entry1640112
