sean 19 Report post Posted May 19, 2009 I'd move Jiggy, even though he's the better goalie. Anaheim didn't give up much, even to our high-powered offense. I don't think this is a reflection of Hiller's goaltending, but if he's good enough to stop the three-pointers, and the Ducks D can play like they have been, Jiggy's millions are better spent elsewhere. Bad move, I say..... Once Hiller is exposed, (as Cechmanek was....as Turek was....as Esche was.....as Aebischer was), the Ducks are screwed. Hiller's only strength is his novelty. Once that wears off..... He's just a big, awkward body with no technique and holes all over the place. Alex Auld, anyone? chuklz 15 Report post Posted May 19, 2009 I wouldn't be so quick to ship Jiggy if I were the Ducks. Hiller was decent, but I wasn't blown away by him. He was facing a lot of perimeter shots and giving up lots of juicy rebounds. No he didnt. The refs called the puck dead the second it came near his pads. They even intended to in Game 3 and it counted.
Guest Crymson Report post Posted May 19, 2009 Article from OC Register: http://www.ocregister.com/articles/giguere...33-season-right He has no intentions of waiving his no-trade clause, and is set to make 13 million over the next two years. But if asked to waive the NTC, he said they will talk. I am curious to see if Anaheim decides to shed his salary and move him. Me personally I hope he goes back to his hometown of Montreal. Friends, countrymen, people who hate J.S. Giguere, lend me your ears; I come to bury J.S. Giguere, not to praise him. I will start this discussion by arguing that this is kind of a touchy subject to some people. Then, I will present evidence that the biggest difference between me and J.S. Giguere is that J.S. Giguere wants to condition the public to accept violence as normal and desirable. I, on the other hand, want to tear down his fortress of pharisaism. For the most part, raising the volume, increasing the stridency, or stressing the emotionalism of an argument does not improve its validity. Still, I call upon J.S. Giguere to stop his oppression, lies, immorality, and debauchery. I call upon him to be a man of manners, principles, honour, and purity. And finally, I call upon him to forgo his desire to cause wishy-washy subversion to gather momentum on college campuses. Although he is ever learning J.S. Giguere is never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. The truth, in this context, is that some people I know say that it is the height of arrogance and untruthfulness for J.S. Giguere to imply that "the truth", "the whole truth", and "nothing but the truth" are three different things. Others argue that it would be a semantic quibble to deny that J.S. Giguere's deplorable fantasy fits neatly into his lazy, unsympathetic model of society. At this point the distinction is largely academic given that he claims that the most disorganized talebearers I've ever seen make the best scout leaders and schoolteachers. I, speaking as someone who is not a ghastly nobody, would say that that claim is 70% folderol, 20% twaddle, and 10% another hate-filled attempt to threaten national security. Untrustworthy nitwits who use cheap, intemperate propaganda to arouse the passions of the most hideous adulterers I've ever seen might not recognize the incongruities in J.S. Giguere's insinuations, but J.S. Giguere is always prating about how it is his moral imperative to add insult to injury. (He used to say that his self-fulfilling prophecies won't be used for political retribution, but the evidence is too contrary so he's given up on that score.) No one likes being attacked by the most grumpy lunatics you'll ever see. Even worse, J.S. Giguere exploits our fear of those attacks—which he claims will evolve sooner or later into biological, chemical, or nuclear attacks—as a pretext to thrust all of us into scenarios rife with personal animosities and petty resentments. If you think that's scary, then you should remember that J.S. Giguere periodically puts up a facade of reform. However, underneath the pretty surface, it's always business as usual. Let me end by appealing to our collective sense of humanity: J.S. Giguere is capable of passing very rapidly from a hidden enjoyment of barbaric Lysenkoism to a proclaimed attachment to frotteurism and back—and back again.
