WingsFanInPensCountry 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 Trust me the Pens aren't goin anywhere. New arena, Stanley Cup, more revenue. That s*** will attract players.
PDX Wingman 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 Pittsburgh "dismantled" after last season. Weren't there something like nine new Penguins on the roster that we faced in this year's final? As long as they keep their nucleus (Malkin, Fleury, crosby) in place, they should remain a decent team. They shouldn't expect to be back in the final again next season, though, due to fatigue. NGKEIB 32 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 Pens will be fine. I can see Chicago having difficulties however. You guys make it sound like Pittsburgh isn't a desirable place to play. Not sure about the city, but their team has loads of exciting and skilled players. People will take discounts. Now that Michelle is gone (I actually really like Bylsma and am so happy for him) I don't see why they won't continue their upward trend. I don't think that they'll repeat, but those who claim that they'll regress to how they played in the first half of the season should sort themselves out.
